This is the 3rd year I was unable to -file. I am an accountant and I go through step by step nd then I have multiple errors and I can't even seem to fix them so I mail my returns. I do not plan to purchase again. I can't even fix the errors. I see the box, I check it and then it still shows as an error. No more for me. I can only e-file the simplest personal returns and mine is not that complicated . I thought this past year would be beter but it is always the same.

HRB's tax guidance may be good, but the sw is not intuitive to use. Also, the questions are useful, but are too removed from the form and can be confusing. It should be clear, in which form answers are to be reflected.

I've been using HR Block software for over 2 decades. I like its ease of use and nice interview style in order to make sure everything is looked at and nothing is missed. I like the audit support that comes with the software, though I've never had to use it, meaning the software itself must be catching everything that is needed to file for a maximum return.

Pages don't fit on screen, never does the 8606 right if at all, doesn't do carryovers which would be so helpful. I think they charge too much for eFiling state, so I mail paper.

Be careful Landlords. I am prepared to admit user error, but I have submitted my feedback to H&RB. Maybe it will do some good. My main advice is don't change software. Stay with whatever has been working. I switched from TurboTax for my 2023 return. I did not realize that a Schedule C was made and reported instead of Schedule E. I overpaid two consecutive years and now in the process of redoing both years and how to carefully prepare Form 1040-X amendments. Full transparency: 2023 was Premium. 2024 was Premium & Business that creates two versions which I found duplicate confusing. I used the 2024 Premium version, then discovered the Schedule C error but it was too late. I submitted the Federal return 'as is' to meet the April 2025 filing deadline, knowing it was better to overpay than short pay. H&R Block software is Good. My experience has not been.

The program is very good and user friendly for the most part. HUGE negative issue is accessing the program after Windows updates. Even after calling the help line...the person did not help getting it to work. I had to re-install on a different computer and lost some of the previous years data. Very frustrating.

I bought personal and business. Business software will not open - runs into fatal error, even after uninstall and reinstall. Personal software asked me to do almost every topic when trying to file an extension, then wouldn’t let me print evidence of the extension without a watermark. Overall it’s comparable to the other software, but at a better price. I just wish everything worked properly.

Overall ok. Some input sheets cumbersome such as tracking input to actual IRS form. Also why is schedule C included in premium and business software? Some input sheets cumbersome. .
