We purchased this from a local game store who only had a few copies. We played our first game which we really enjoyed because it required you to come up with a strategy in the first round. While this is definitely requires some future turn planning which a more strategic player will enjoy, you can just wing this turn by turn and enjoy it as well. Getting to the stage 5 height was a challenge in our first ever attempt, but as we play it more I am sure we will develop some strategies to get the top height of the garden. The components were great except the player mats. Those are a huge disappointment. Unlike Karuba which gives each player solid board to play on, this game has basically construction player mats. Which you do not want to get wet or they will be destroyed. We may go get these laminated because we think this is going to get a lot of game play. So my recommendation to HABA is to upgrade those boards. Your games are great, don't cheap out on the components. I'd give this a 5 star if not for the player boards.
