Q: anyone use the 2 year protection plan? our electric kettles never last two years, including a Haden kettle like this. will the coverage pay for a new one if it doesn't last two years?

A:Â I am not sure what the 2 year protection plan covers, but the manufacturer's warranty covers one year.

Q: Does it beep? I prefer kettles that don't beep.

A:Â There is no beep to let you know the water is ready. To heat the water you will need to press the power lever and the power light will turn on. When the water starts to boil the lever will pop up and the light will turn off. That is the only indication that the water is ready.

Q: Does the handle get hot?

A:Â The handle is separated from the body of the kettle so it does not get heated. Also,it is a plastic handle not a metal handle.

Q: What are the instructions on cleaning? I would imagine that it would need to have a vinegar soak from time to time... any word about that?

A:Â The manual provides cleaning and care instructions. See text from manual below. CLEANING 1. Before cleaning, be sure the base is unplugged and the kettle has cooled completely. Empty any remaining water from the kettle. 2. Pull out the removable filter for cleaning. Wash the filter in hot, soapy water and rinse or place it in the utensil holder of the dishwasher. 3. Wash the inside of the kettle with hot, soapy water and rinse. Important: Never immerse the kettle in water or other liquids or place in a dishwasher. 4. Wipe exterior of the kettle and base with a damp cloth or sponge and dry. Note: The heating element at the bottom of the interior may discolor over time. This will not affect performance. Do not use abrasive soaps, cleansers, or scouring pads on the kettle. Note: Over time, the kettle may heat up but will not boil. When this happens, it is time for descaling. 08 www.hadenu sa.com TO DESCALE 1. Fill kettle with 4 cups cold tap water and bring to a boil. Add 2 cups white vinegar, let stand for at least 1 hour or overnight and discard. 2. Fill kettle to maximum fill line with cold water. Bring to boil, discard and repeat. Kettle is now ready for use.

A:Â The filter is removable. A spare filter is supplied for replacement. If you choose to not use the filter simply remove it.

This kettle is cute and a great addition to my farmhouse vintage kitchen. My daughter really loves house easy it is to use and heat water in it for her tea in the morning. The structure of the kettle is easy to handle without burning yourself and is quick to heat. Great product!

I really love the look of this kettle, so when we had to replace our old electric kettle, I splurged and got this one. It works as expected and I like the thermometer on the side. However, today I pulled the lid off the kettle, and saw it is corroded! My husband is usually the one making coffee in the morning, so I never noticed, except for around the top of the kettle (which was starting to happen a while ago, just never thought it was super bad.) so much for stainless steel! And so much for the price we paid—the warranty is just past the year mark. Not happy at all about this!

I love this kettle. It is the perfect size and color for my kitchen. So stylish and looks so beautiful in my kitchen. So easy to use, This heats up quickly and quietly. The cord storage in the base is a nice touch. A high quality product. I plan on buying another for my Mom at Christmas. A wonderful kettle. I recommend.

This kettle has such a great look and is a nice addition to the kitchen counter! I’m excited that it has such a large capacity and will make it easy to have multiple cups of tea. One drawback it that it is corded, so can’t port it around too much.

We pulled this electric kettle out of box excited to try it out. I immediately fell in love with its classic look. My boys love its heating element and temperature guage. With my family preferring larger cups of hot chocolate, wr all love the capacity. I like that i can see just how hot the water is, tather than just looking for steam or listening for a whistle. My boys jumped right into making hit chocolate, even though its summer time. It came with a nice filter that easily slides into next to the spout, and its easy to wipe down. I

This electric kettle is super cute and works really well. I really like the temperature gauge on it. The on/off switch lights up blue when it’s on, and it shuts off automatically once it reaches the highest temp. It does not whistle like a regular kettle, which is fine since it shows the temperature, but it’s good to be aware of. It will be great for when we travel.

This is overall a very nice kettle! I love the look of it and the temperature gauge is great. It’s bigger than I thought it would be which was a nice surprise. Works really well and the extra filter is appreciated. The lid isn’t the easiest to get open and the handle takes some getting used to for pouring but we’ve still been very happy with it!

I love when products are beautiful and functional, this is one of those! It boils water in like a minute, but also looks so good sitting on your counter! Whether it’s tea or cocoa, this will make you life easier—-just flip the switch on, grab some mugs, and your water is piping hot. Love this, now I want the matching Haden toaster as well.

One may ask why get an electric cattle in this day and age? Depending on the region you live in, you may see it as unnecessary, however, this super modern cattle has become a staple for me and my fellow teachers. I brought this to our teachers room and it was an instant success! It’s designed beautifully, it heats the water fast, there’s a thermometer and a water gauge, comes with a limescale filter replacement, a light indicator and it’s super convenient! The company that makes them is the very reputable British HADEN and has been on the market for many decades. A super high quality piece of equipment that’s amazing and a must have!

This kettle looks fantastic on the kitchen counter. It has great visual appeal. It is fairly tall so that is something to think about for storage purposes. It is incredibly simple to use with little instruction needed. I love that the power switch glows blue while on and automatically switches off when it has reached boiling temp. It is a great built in safety feature. I have four stars as the built in handle is awkward. The positioning makes filling/cleaning a bit of a challenge as well as pouring the last bit of water. Otherwise, a great product.

The kettle is very easy to use, just plug in and go! The temperature gauge is a great feature and you can see how fast it works. The kettle itself is a bit large but is lightweight and looks retro cool.

I absolutely love this tea kettle. Not only does it heat the water quickly, it is also beautifully designed. It’s a little bit retro and a little bit modern. I enjoy keeping it out as part of my kitchen decor.

First, I love the retro look on this kettle. Very easy to setup and use. It has 1.7 Lt capacity. The cover can be detach completely. The handle give you a good protection from the heat while pouring and the steam will never reach your hand since the spout is far away from the handle, but my favorite part in this kettle is the temperature thermometer. The fact that you can see the exact temperature your water is, it's so convenient. Better yet, the temperature thermometer still works when the kettle is not being used and it will show you the room temperature in your kitchen. The only think I wish this kettle had, is an auto turn off. I like to multitask. Besides that, I'm in love with this kettle.
