Q: Why does the blender leak the liquid by the blades. 4 blenders all same problem?

A: Unfortunately, the blade is in the drinking cup, the only way to get it really clean is in the dishwasher... handwashing could be dangerous!

submitted byHamiltonBeachTeam - 5 years agoBrand expertA: From a chef's perspective in case you do not have a dishwasher, one way to clean it would be to insert dish soap and little warm (not hot) water. Turn it on to distribute the soapy water around the blades. Pour it out and continue to wash until one's own liking. Best to do this after every use to prevent the build-up of mold or bacteria.

I bought it a second time because (a) thought that inability to separate cup from black bottom on the first one was a fluke and (b) liked the way it looked and had worked previously. Now must buy another brand.

I bought this to blend frozen fruits/vegetables for smoothies. It does not blend very well at all. Super weak and would get stuck. Maybe it works better for non frozen items. Unfortunately it has been useless for me.

I'm not sure what happened to the quality. I purchased this blender in 2021 and it lasted until last year when the container (not the motor) cracked. I used it so often and would even put frozen fruit in there. so I purchased another one. well within a few months that container cracked. So I purchased another one and tada! it's cracked again. The blending motor itself is great. I guess it's decent considering the price.

Do not use this on anything frozen, it will not blend. Also, when blending non-frozen stuff, you have to shake it a lot for it to even blend. Wouldn't recommend unless you plan to use it a couple of times and then throw it away.

This blender not only did not blend thoroughly (I had to shake and tilt it often just to get it to blend everything), it started to week after maybe two weeks. I was so disappointed. I should have read the reviews because it seems that this is common. The plastic cup is not durable enough for a blender. Also, it says you cannot wash it with hot water.

I give this 2 stars because I don't like that the blade was attached to the cup, makes it very hard to clean. Its easy to get gunk stuck since you're not able to take it apart and clean it correctly and thoroughly. Other than that, it would of been great. I do like the size of the cup.

This is the perfect size for an açaí bowl or smoothie! I use it daily! I’ve learned it does matter what order you put ingredients in-almond milk first, protein powder/chia seeds/cinnamon, frozen fruit. I’ve made peace with having to push down the frozen fruit/ingredients a few times with a long silicone spoon. To clean, rinse & soak right away. I use a bottle brush & a straw brush to get whatever’s stuck on the sides and down below the blades. Tip-For dry/hard stuff, maybe add little baking soda & water, then running the blender should clean near the blades & stubborn spots. I do wish it had a little more power.

I got this to make smoothies and it doesn't even touch the ice. All the chunks of ice are still intact after "blending". What's the point? I could just put all my ingredients in a bowl and stir them together. Waste of money.
