Hamilton Beach SS Custom Grind Coffee Grinder 80406: 12 Settings, Stainless Steel, 14 Cup Capacity, Electric Blade Grind

It completely stopped working within 1 month. Overheated and some plastic pieces broke off.

Quiet, works perfectly in minimal time compared to our old grinder.

Removable grinder cup is a plus. Only drawback is the ultra short electrical cord. Have had good performance from all HB products I own to date (3).

At first, it seemed a little confusing with the type of coffee & number of cups, but after my first use it got easier. I also loved the easy use of the push button on top. It allows you to use 1 finger to grind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mornings are when I make smoothies for breakfast. I grind chia or flax seed to put in them. This grinder is expertly made. Put in the seeds, pick the setting, lock in the top and push down. This grinder does the work for you. In a matter of a few seconds, its done, automatically stops and you are ready to use. My husband uses for grinding his coffee. The only downside is I would like the cord to be about 3 inches longer.

I thought I would be using the press and hold option to control the amount of time for grinding, but the 4-cup drip setting using the press and release automatic timing is working great when I only want to brew a single mug. It is simple to use, which is a requirement for me first thing in the morning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really great coffee grinder. I like that it has a stainless steel look which matches my kitchen. I love the push top button and that you can use it hands free. The different settings for grinding are very helpful. One small part of the plastic lid broke off the second time I used it, but this does not effect the function of the grinder. I do wish they would have kept the little brush to get the extra coffee out after grinding, it is so useful! I kept mine from the last grinder and still use it. I use several Hamilton Beach products and I highly recommend this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very well-made stainless-steel coffee grinder with large basket, up to maximum capacity capabilities guidelines inside, clear cover with Automatic/Manual grind control and lock feature. Settings are geared for French press, drip coffee, and espresso machines. I ground whole bean coffee beans, mustard seeds, whole cloves, parmesan cheese and nuts. The nuts ground in various sizes, however, everything else was what I expected, even grind!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two other coffee grinders and this one is superior by far. The grind was consistent, no random chunks of beans like my other grinder. I was also surprised by how quiet it is. With it being stainless steel, almost of the grinds are easily removed and clean up is very easy. I also like that you tap the top and it grinds the coffee to the right consistency. It is very easy to use and I liked how you can wind up the cord in the base to keep it organized. There isn't a thing I don't like about this coffee grinder!

After using it for a few weeks I decided it’s more than just nice to look at! I do like how it has a very useful and functional grind selector at the bottom I tried each grind selected for its proper function and it did not disappoint, each selection was ground perfectly! I also like the removable tray which makes for super easy cleaning and I love that it comes with a spot on the underside to lengthen/shorten and store the cord! Based on design, features, ease of use and cost, I would absolutely recommend!

You can set by the type of brew (pour over, drip, or espresso) and the number of cups. Takes all the guesswork out! I also like being able to grid the beans automatically or manually. This model isn’t as loud as others I’ve had, which is nice, too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very impressed with the Hamilton Beach Stainless Steel Custom Grinder. It is so simple to use and easy to clean. There are three Grind Sizes. This is a great feature that enabled me to decide what size to grind whether I need a coarse, medium or fine grind. I learned this grinder is not just for coffee beans.It can also be used for grinding spices. So I first tested it with cinnamon sticks. After cleaning the unit as suggested I made sure the grinder chamber was locked in place. Next I put just 2 sticks in the chamber, locked the lid in place. I decided to use the automatic grind by simply pushing down on the lid. It was done in 20 sec. I was able to stop and use as a manual grind for additional grinding. It was vert fast and quiet. With just 2 cinnamon sticks plenty of fresh spices were created to use for a recipe. Next I wiped out the unit and used 1 Tablespoon of coffee beans. Since I have a drip coffee pot I chose the Medium grind. You can also set it for coarse if using a French press or Fine for Espresso machine. By sliding the lever you can decide if you want to add more beans & make up to 14 cups of coffee. This grinder is a very versatile classy addition to my kitchen.

I am new to using a coffee grinder and I feared it would be too loud and too difficult to clean and store. It's compact, not too loud, and has lots of helpful measurement indicators. It also grinds the coffee really well.

It has a handy function where you can just press it once and it will grind and stop in its own. The inner grind pot comes out so it's really easy to pour into your container or coffee pot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee/spice grinder is very well made and has several features that I really appreciate. The best feature is that you can remove the actual grinder part (with blades) and wash it easily. This allows the user to be able to clean the blades between grindings if you use it for both coffee and spices. I used the middle setting on the markings for drip coffee and it did a great job and the large cap made dumping the ground coffee easy and took less grindings. I also used the grinder for coriander seeds and it ground them very easily and since I could remove the blade insert I could use it directly after grinding coffee. The grinder is very stable and does not require holding while grinding.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm used to the smaller sized coffee grinders (I've had a few) with only one setting. So, this grinder was quite an improvement on those as, it gives you options my others didn't. You can removable the grinding mechanism on this grinder which makes for easy cleaning. Nice feature. I particularly like the versatility in the grinds you can choose. It has 3 categories of settings (French Press, Drip and Espresso (far right but you can't see it in the picture) and each category has settings for the amount of beans you put into the grinder. You can grind enough beans to make from 4 cups of coffee to 14 cups of coffee so, not only can you grind a nice amount of beans at a time but, you can really "fine tune" your grind. I like my coffee beans fine but, not espresso fine. The manual said grind for 10-20 seconds but, I had to grind for 30 seconds to get my desired result. You'll have to see for yourself...peaking inside every 10 seconds to decide how fine and how long to grind on your preferred setting. It ground the coffee beans evenly and effortlessly. FYI, the manual said to hold the top down when grinding and that it has "auto shut off" but, I found the opposite to be true. When I pressed the top to begin the grind process, it stayed down until I pressed it again and then it stoped. And the best way I can describe there result was, a nice clean cup of coffee. P.S. Manual says you can also grind spices with it like pepper corns, and seeds (like sesame and coriander etc) but, I'll probably just stick with coffee. All in all, a pretty decent grinder in my opinion.

so so happy w/the custom grind coffee grinder...super easy to use & takes the effort/calculation out of grinding beans for espresso...hooray!
