Q: Hello, Is this shampoo only for thick hair? I have shoulder length med thin hair that unless straightened is wavy/curly when dries naturally. Would this shampoo be too heavy/moisturizing on thinner hair? Thank you.

A: Hi, thanks for asking. Our Moisturize shampoo bar is good for the type of hair you're describing. It is certainly not too hydrating. If you're planning on pairing it with our Moisturize conditioner bar, you can adjust the amount of hydration by how long you leave the conditioner soak into your hair. Hope that helps!

A: Hi. Thanks for asking. Yes, the shampoo bars should lather up really well, even in hard water. Note though, that as with any shampoo, it's not the lather itself that is the cleansing action. Still, we know people love the feel of lather, and it is assurance that the product is doing its job, so... yes, HiBAR should give a nice lather. Simply apply the bar directly to your very wet hair, paying special attention to your roots and scalp. Massage the lather in with your fingertips (if you like you can also get a lather going by rubbing the bar between your palms and then on to your hair) Hope that helps.

A: Hi... great question. Totally safe for colored/tinted/highlighted hair. We formulated our bars without sulfates (the biggest culprit for color stripping) because the wouldn't be salon quality if they didn't care for color! Hope that helps!

I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner for the past month and a half and it’s one of the best bar shampoo and conditioner I have ever used. I accidentally found out about this brand when I was looking for bar conditioners. I have less fallout and see a lot of new growth. My hair loss was pretty bad after two kids but this gives me hope.

I love this shampoo and conditioner! I have been using it for well over a year now. I have had no problems whatsoever. The shampoo lathers up good just like any other shampoo in a bottle. It gets my hair clean! The conditioner does what it supposed to do too - no tangles and soft hair. Between both the shampoo and conditioner I have nice shiny soft hair. The first maybe three or four uses it takes a while to get used to the form of the bar - But after a while it just fits in your hand and works great. I’ve tried other bars and I always come back to this one. The scent is light I hardly even notice it. Thé bars don’t crumble to pieces like others I’ve tried. They last a long time. I am adding a couple pictures of my bars after many many uses. I do go through the shampoo faster than the conditioner.

It lathers well. It doesn't build up on my hair. It lasts longer than a lot of other bar shampoos without breaking apart. No overpowering perfumey smell. Doesn't weigh my hair down or dry it out. No waxiness.

May be ok for short or fine hair but took forever to wash long hair. Not the product for anyone with long hair needing a quick shower. Smells mild and ok. Used the coordinating conditioner and my hair looks limp and dull. I do have hard water but when i used my l’ange products yesterday my hair looked great. Really wanted to like this but other than having a mild fragrance not a lot of good to say.

This shampoo is great! I bought it in January 2022 and I still have maybe a month’s worth left. It has a light citrus scent. I’ve taken it with me for travel a few times and it’s nice to it have to worry about bringing liquids through tsa or having them spill in my bag. I saw a review saying this shampoo brought out their curls and I was hoping to get that result, but my wavy hair has been straight for the last six months. When I first used it, my hair felt really soft but over time it’s starting to feel stringy and staticky. I really like this shampoo though, I recommend it for people with straight and maybe oily hair?

After using a great “only available online”brand of bar shampoo for over a year, I wanted to try an easier to purchase brand so I gave HiBar a try after reading glowing reviews. Unfortunately, HiBar did not deliver. It didn’t lather well and it left my hair feeling stripped, dull, and stiff. It also has a synthetic smell very similar to the smell of Diet Pepsi, which I find mildly unpleasant and quite odd. Guess I’ll be going back to my old brand.

Great option for reducing waste. I love the simple packaging in the bar seems to last quite a while. Hair seems to feel good after washing. Glad I made the switch. I just try to buy it on sale or with a promotion because it is a little spendy.

This shampoo bar takes a little getting used to but it lathers nicely and my hair feels really clean! I always use it with the moisturize conditioner bar. I love the fragrance, lather, the fact that you don’t need to use a lot.

This shampoo bar is easy to lather and has a light citrusy scent that does not linger after rinsing. I use it with the matching conditioner bar, and it seems to keep my curly hair (2B/2C) soft and defined. The shampoo bar sometimes leaves a waxy residue if my hair is really dirty, and it wears down much faster than the conditioner (like 2-3x faster). I have had both for a couple months, and I am about half way through the shampoo bar.

I love that this comes in easily recyclable plastic-free packaging. It does a good job of cleaning my hair without drying out my scalp and hair. The scent is very faintly citrusy and it smells ok but isn't really my favorite. The bar is easy to hold and use and it lathers up decently. I wish it came with a storage option but I would still probably repurchase this.

I love the concept of a shampoo bar that eliminates the need for plastic packaging. I’ve used other shampoo bars before, and I think the shape of this one is really innovative- it makes it much easier to hold onto the slippery bar when it’s wet! When it comes to the effects it had on my hair, I wasn’t impressed. While it did eventually lather and felt like it cleaned my hair, it left my hair feeling very squeaky and tangled. My hair did not feel soft or moisturized, it felt stripped. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the scent of this shampoo bar; it’s citrusy, which isn’t terrible, but it’s definitely not my favorite for a shampoo.

What a great product! I absolutely love that there’s less packaging and better foe our environment. got to say I wasn't so sure about the shampoo before but once I got used to it was pretty good. I like how minimal the waste is. it does leave my hair nice and non oily. I would recommend a little tray to put it on
