  • A: That's strange - this is the quietest fan I've ever purchased. It's mostly used as white noise at night and the "Calm" setting is perfect and subtle. Even the strongest setting "Cool" doesn't make a roaring noise for me. I suggest taking it back for a new one as it seems like a faulty order.

This room is a small room that usually is much warmer then other rooms in our home, therefore, I keep the fan going all the time when the outside temperature is 100 or more. It works very well for us.

  • A: Very easy. You have the fan, and two base pieces. Connect the two base pieces like Lego, unscrew the large red twist at the bottom of the fan. Put the fan on top of the base. Feed the wire through the red twist and base. Screw the red twist into place.

    Tower fan

    Fan itself is pretty decent. Quiet and good amount of airflow settings. Didn't know it required assembly. To some, the assembly may be obvious, to others, not. The set-up guide is misleading in both visuals and written directions. Manufacturer could do better.

    Really hoped I was going to love this fan..it does a great job cooling but makes the worst noises regardless of the setting. It’s not the traditional “hum” of a fan, but more like tapping or rattling. I’ve attempted tightening the base, readjusting the way it sits, and multiple surfaces but it seems to come from the fan mechanism itself rather than the base. I can’t even sleep if it’s running.

    Very Squeaky

    This fan is poorly constructed, leading to loud squeaking noises when using oscillation. The oscillating setting is virtually useless due to the loud squeaks and makes the fan very distracting. This fan can't be used in a bedroom or for sleep due to the noise.

    The fan barely blows air. The only movement happens on the highest setting and it’s not enough to feel more than 2 feet away. It’s also not quiet. Then it stopped working completely on day 5. Will be returning!

    Becomes unbearabky loud within a couple months

    Had to replace my old Dreo fan (no fault of the fan). I went with the cheaper Honeywell option and have regretted it. Within a 2-3 months, it became so rickety and loud. The sound is unbearable and distracting. If you’re ordering through Target, spend the extra money on Dreo. It’s worth it. I’m picking up a new one from them today and junking this thing.

    Immediately rattling. Awful. Waste of money. Do not buy.

    Built correctly and is making a god-awful sign immediately when turned on. Very disappointing especially for the ridiculous cost. Will not buy any Honeywell products again.

    Nice space saver, put together easy, db is from 35 to 42....but the only setting option that is not noise is "calm" "sleep" is unusable...the other settings or ok over time mabe that will not be too bad but sleep mode is out. The air movment is Ok in a 100sq room...
