Q: So what is the largest size document that you can print? Can it print on 12 x 18? 13 x 19? Or is it just your standard document size, 8.5 x 11?

Good machine - check my review
I purchased this printer to replace an older one and be able to do A3 printing as well. Very good machine. 2 things to note. It is quite large so make sure that you have a suitable location. I thought that it would be better than my old printer when using thicker card. I am still having problems. Check specification regarding maximum thickness.

The purchase was made because of the printers ability to print 11 x 17 plain paper pages. I have not yet been able to get a full sized print in that format from the machine. Not overly pleased with with the wi-fi connection either.

Paper jam error continually in tray 1 when printing with photo paper.
Top paper tray continually gives paper jam error. Never any paper jam. This happens only with photo paper, but a real pain.

Beautiful print quality, great price.
This printer really does print beautifully. I’ve been printing out some artwork and with Matt paper of no more than 130gsm and the colours are true to the image, including on A3 paper of the same type. The printer won’t take heavy papers but there is no need to use them. I encountered a few teething problems with the set up such as loading trays, printing double sided. I found it easier to Google the printer make and the type of problem than it was to find the solution on the HP Smart app, perhaps a in invidual thorough set up for each printer could be made standard in the menu. It is a big printer so can’t be moved and needs space, but I plan to make a lightweight decorative box for the sides and front to make it fit in more with the home environment. Great price and actually got 6 months instant ink free because I joined the HP Smart app. (100 pages per month which can be rolled over to the next) I’ve been a member of instant ink for a while and can recommend it, especially for people who may be printing out photos and using lots of ink.

Good all round A3 printer
I was concerned about the price of ink when I purchased this printer, but the subscription service for ink cartridges is surprisingly inexpensive. The printer works well and has great print quality, especially for the price. Paper handling seems good with no jams so far. Setup was a bit mind bending, but after uninstalling all the drivers and apps and re-installing them it came good.
