It's versatile and this design makes it safer to wash. I destoyed my last milk heater by getting water in the base... One drawback is that it takes quite a long time to heat the milk. The other is the handle is flat and it hurts my hand. Hopefully they will round the edges on the next model.

I was looking for something small and powerful. This was the right pick however it does take a few minutes to get to a hot foamy froth which is perfectly fine.

I bought this via Amazon and needed a replacement whisk. Customer Service advised me just to buy a whole new unit. So I would need to spend $50+ dollars on the heating unit and another jug just to replace the whisk.

Throw it away. Save your money and get something that works properly. This thing turns off from it's 'safety' every 5 seconds. You have to stand there and start it every 5 seconds.

I love it...up until it stops working. The first one lasted almost a year before it started making grinding noises and then would stop frothing halfway through the cycle. The second one did this same thing, but within a couple months. Come on Instant Pot, quality control!

I LOVE this little gadget... when it works. Easy to use, easy to clean, does it's job BUT after a few months it began periodically shutting off mid-use--all lights flashing. So, if you set it up and walk away, you come back to a drink that is not heated as expected. The problem is not consistent and I cannot troubleshoot what triggers it. Need to replace and cannot decide whether to give it another try b/c in theory it's a lovely little machine.

Takes a long time to froth (almond) milk and results are not worth the wait. First few times there was a little froth, now minimal. As others have said, it's hard to clean the plate once milk has overflowed. I tried my friend's pricier nespresso with the same milk and results were light and frothy. I regret not paying more money for a better product.

I just got this as a gift and just started using it. I have so far tried an almond milk for and cream. It just keeps starting and stopping, takes forever to warm up and it barely froths. It works so poorly, I wonder if it is broken.

Received this as a Christmas gift along with a bunch of fun syrups to make flavored cold foams. It worked well on the high foam, no heat setting with both regular milk and half n half. I also reheated leftover lattes from a local shop on the no foam, hot reheat setting and was happy with that. We used the heat on the medium setting with the medium foam setting to make steamers for the kids too! Lots to love.

Fun, easy to use. Makes great foamed milk! We use warmed milk rather than cold mlik that the directions suggest. Makes foamed milk in about 1 minute when you use warm milk. Same or better quality lattes or capucinnos than you get at the coffee places like SB. Highly recommended for all fat levels of cows milk, cannot say about other types of milks, like soy or whatever.

Easy to use and clean

Have had for 3 days … used half and half, heavy whipping cream and almond milk. None of them turn into a heavy froth. The unit continually turns of and on by itself. Best feature is stainless steel pour cup.

Was looking forward to an easy to clean appliance that would heat and froth milk for Golden Milk. I found that the Instant Pot Magic Cup fell short: although it froths very well, the milk doesn’t get hot enough to stay toasty for the entire cup.

I purchased this to make heated milk and molasses. It worked beautifully the first 8 times. 35 days after purchasing, it no longer frothed. I could no longer return it through amazon and the Instant company is making me jump through hoops just to get information over to them. I added the information online, including the pic of the product label (as asked). Then I was sent an email and was asked for the product label again along with photos, a video and other information about the issue. I hadn't heard back so I contacted the chat. They told me I would get an email within 5-15 minutes. I did, asking me now to upload a video to Google Drive, which I have no idea how to do. Please do yourself a favor and purchase a frother from another company. This is not worth your time. I've pretty much figured out it is the wisk that's not working properly but to have to go through all of this, isn't worth it.I felt the need to add to this review. After all that I went through to prove that the frother wasn't working, customer service said they were sending me out another one. I originally purchased the Instant Magic Froth 9 in 1, with a stainless steel pot. What I received is a cheaper model (Instant Mousseur A Lait 4 in 1), that's all plastic!!!! I'm not kidding, Do Not Purchase this product. Even the customer service is bad. I'm just so glad I did not purchase this as a gift for someone else. I would have been embarrassed if they had to go through all of this.

I rinsed the pot with the whisk in it after use it's first use to use again. The whisk fell our into the sink and I can't locate it. I thought, no problem, I'll just order a couple of replacement whisks should this happen again. Sadly you do not offer replacement whisks. Nowhere in the instructions did it say to remove the whisk before pouring liquid out. So sadly this brand new product is not useless.

I bought it 5 months ago, the detachable whisk got lost and I was unable to get a reply from my support ticket. If you lose it, everything becomes useless.

Broke down after a few months , this was a birthday gift for my daughter in July 2024 .

I got this recently, and the frothing whisk flies off during operation, resulting in no foam. Does not work properly. I have followed set up and trouble shooting guidelines in the user manual. Nothing has worked and it is a waste of time and milk.

I bought this recently and everything about it makes you think the whisk and cup are stainless steel however the whisk is actually a plastic piece which had I known I would not have purchased. It doesn't appear I can buy a replacement part that is just stainless steel.
