I bought this just over a year ago and it broke. I saw a lot of the same problem but instantpot doesn't help. Cheaply made get a different brand

Broke quickly and customer service was obviously an overseas call center with little help.

Makes a nice crisp food and it's a great Size for all things you want to cook it's super easy to Clean out and it's low noise level and very high quality and made very durable super nice I'll be using this daily for every meal so easy to time and cook.

I am very dissatisfied with this product. After the product is out of warranty the switch that closes the want work. I is a very poor design should be made out of metal instead of plastic. The sensor button gets warn and want work.. I push the button manually but will not work.

This is my first air fryer. I bought the Vortex Slim because I have a teeny tiny galley kitchen, and it was the only thing I thought would fit. And it does! It sits quite nicely on the table next to my Instant Pot. However, it doesn't fit on the counter because it's a bit too tall to fit under the upper cabinets.I read quite a few reviews about an awful, plastic smell when use. Yes, it did smell when I did the test run. So I ran it for about an hour afterwards. Haven't had an issue with the "new plastic" smell since. I also saw quite a few negative reviews about the handle. I rather quite like it. My arthritic hands can get a good grip on it, especially when I have to remove and lift it from the machine.I don't trust nonstick anything to the dishwasher. I've ruined too many pots that way so I wash the grill and the basket by hand. I had a little trouble cleaning the grill at first until I figured out that a soak and a soft brush did the trick. Otherwise, I found the basket and grill very easy to wash out. Even the air fryer cavity is easy to clean with a just a damp towel. I do wish the instruction manual had instructions for those of us new to air fryers. A paragraph on what air frying is and is not and what the machine does would have been helpful. I had a little trouble, figuring out exactly what the presets were for. Overall I highly recommend this product. It's quiet, powerful enough to cook your food in a fraction of the time that it takes in an oven, and it doesn't heat up your kitchen.

From the beginning I had issues on and off with the food tasting like plastic and the kitchen smelling too. When I thought it got better, the next time I cooked I could smell/taste the plastic again. Had this for 10 months and the last time I used it was the worse! I burned off all the factory oils before the first use as mentioned in the manual. I’ll be getting rid of this especially since I’ve read that so many other people experience this issue with the Vortex air fryers and it hasn’t improved. Since I was out of the return period I contacted Instant Pot who is willing to give me a replacement item. It’s too bad because the size was perfect for my small kitchen and it did work well.

I received this for Christmas in 2023 but didnt use until Feb or March 2024. I love this fryer as i had one before this one that lastest forever!Now on this pretty new one, the switch that tells the machine the basket is closed or not is worn out! I thought it might be a quick fix, but after prying and unscrewing numerous screws, I doubt i will figure out how to put back together if i go to trouble of ordering (and i guess paying unfortuately). Plus who knows if it will really fix the issue.

Unhappy only had for 9 months and it started smoking with black electrical smell! Was good until I used one day for chicken then after that no more. So useless after just a few months. Black smoke blowing out with electrical smell. The unit was not dirty (more than normal wear).

Nice fryer but omits a very powerful/strong plastic or electrical burning smell that fills the house and gets into the food. Have reached out to customer support for help.

These air fryers are the worst. They smell of plastic when you use them and the flavor gets into your food. I reached out to customer service and they were nice at first and then ghosted me. Be careful when buying and air fryer from Instant Pot

Due to the slimness of the product, I couldn't find accessories for it. Either the disposable or silicone trays are too big or too small.

We have had the fryer for just under a year and the handle broke. what do I do now? I cant find replacement parts and I do not want to buy a new one.

We're very happy with our new air fryer. Holds enough for most dishes and feeds 2 adults easily. Really convenient size, considering our previous unit was way more bulky. I also appreciate the digital screen and interface. Super easy to clean as well. Overall, super happy and highly recommend.

I felt incredibly grateful to be selected to try out the new Vortex Slim Air Fryer from Instant. I knew *instantly* (wink, wink) that I just had to participate when I was offered the chance. I'd been on the fence about purchasing yet another appliance to sit alongside the others I've already acquired, like my toaster oven for example. My main concern was the lack of space and secondly, redundancy in cooking capabilities. However, after a very pleasant unboxing experience, I was surprised to learn just how small and even thin the unit is, and how well it fits into the corner space of my countertop. I love just how sleek the design of the interface is, the options are made visible only when the machine is on and only require a soft tap to make your selection. There aren't too many cooking presets available, but that's a blessing, as it makes the fryer that much easier to use and more approachable. There are a couple of concerns that did surface as I used the fryer for the first time. The first is that the cooking that that's included is too thin, and makes having to place food into the already preheated air fryer a potentially dangerous task! If you place too many items on the tray, the thin silver handle then becomes hidden and you are left to drop the tray into the basket as carefully as possible. Secondly, the cooking smell. I was hoping this fryer would be different from what my brother owns in that it wouldn't make the kitchen smell of burning plastic and food, but unfortunately not. The smell can be quite strong and may take a while to get rid of. All in all, however, I say this small machine has the potential to deliver great, delicious value to its user, be it a home chef, or a trepid amateur.

I have been using the Instant Brands-Instant,Slim 6- quart Air Fryer for a couple of months now after replacing an older one that I had. This one is as good as my old, more expensive one and Air fryers are very nice to have around.

I bought this a couple weeks ago and my family absolutely loves it! It is easy to use and clean, even my teenagers love using it for meals and snacks. Everything we cook with it comes out delicious. Much easier and efficient than using the oven.

Our household is in absolute love with this Vortex slim Air Fryer. The Air fryer works amazing every time. The food comes out perfect each time. We use this more than we do our oven, which is a huge plus. It is very easy to use and to clean. Great quality product.

I got this to make snacks and appetizers for my always hungry children and it was worked like a charm. It is easy to use and most importantly does not use a ton of oil, but gives you the crispy texture. My go to is to air fry seasoned salmon cubes and then either use them to make a sushi roll or a deconstructed sushi bowl. Options are endless - and my will eat anything with crunch. A win win.

This is my 1st time owning a Air Fryer and I am in love with it. I've cooked so many different foods in my Instant Brands Vortex Air Fryer Slim 6 Quart. It cooked my foods perfection in so little time. It was easy to clean and use. I love it.
