GET AN EXTENDED WARRANTY

Do not buy this pump unless you get an extended warranty. I am less than a month outside the warranty period and they will not help me at all and the part that needs to be replaced is unable to be bought separately so now I have to buy a whole new pump.

Got this to use instead of the weak original pump

We bought one of these because the pump included with our pool was not powerful enough to run a robot cleaner and skimmer. I have mixed opinions on selling a pool with a weak pump but that's a matter for a different review. This unit arrived quickly, we used glass instead of sand, it connected very easily and runs everything just fine. The pool stays clean with minimal effort on my part and the pump is humming right along.

Poor assembly!!

We bought this a week ago. We love the pump now BUT!! We assembled pump and put the sand it requires in. When we turned it on it blew half the sand in our pool. We found in the assembly of the pump someone doesn’t care about the product or their workmanship. The little plastic sand guards that are down inside tank were not tightened and one blew off. We had to dump the sand, find guard, check other guards to find three others that loose. You can’t get the plastic tube and plastic guards out of the pump so you would think they would come tightened securely and ready to fill. That’s not the case. MAKE SURE YOU REACH IN TANK AND CHECK PLASTIC GUARDS!!!

We purchased this pool pump in January 2023 and started using it in the middle of May. Yesterday, the motor started being extremely loud. Still filtering great, but I'm afraid it's going to bite the dust soon.

Stopped after 90 Days!

This was great for the first 90 days. Of course after it was not returnable it would just completely stop working! We are so devastated because we paid close to $500 for this and now its marked down to $299. You would think a pump like this would last longer than 90 days.

Much better than stock pumps

Like many folks I purchased this pump to replace the weak pump that comes with most above ground pools because they just can't do the job. The difference in filtration, water movement, and power is obvious. The instructions are a bit vague, but eventually it comes together. I paired this pump with a hayward skimmer, and a auto pool cleaner.

Decent filter

Easy to assemble, used a YouTube video as guidance and it went together in no time. Been using for only about 5 days on my 15’x48” Intex pool but so far I’m impressed with the capabilities.

Amazing Must Have Pump Filter

OMG!!! This is an amazing MUST HAVE if you have an Intex above ground pool. Those cheap mule pumps that Intex includes with their pools are worthless. Trust me, I was so afraid of not knowing how I was going to install this pump and if you have an Intex above ground pool it’s simply removing you’re old pump and sliding this pump in place. I used all the existing houses and connections which made the install a breeze. The way think I would get is a long backwash hose, which is not included. I also recommend watching installation videos on the internet for backwash and rinsing instructions. Way easier than reading that complex installation manual.

High volume, easy to set up

Purchased this unit as an upgrade from my 12in Intex sand filter and to power my Intex pool cleaner. The unit moves a large volume of water and seems to do an adequate filtering job. Set up is easy but be sure you have the unit where you want it before you start setting it up as it requires 120 lbs. of sand.

Well worth it

Fast shipping & costs a lil more other places. This is a lil bigger than the one it's replacing but it is a super big difference. Soon as I turned it on I noticed the difference in power. Great buy
