In 2026, the rules for the iPhone 17 Pro Max are very consistent, but there is one major "trap" to avoid. 1. If you buy from the Apple Store (apple.com) Yes, it is unlocked. Whether you pay in full or use Apple Card Monthly Installments, the phone comes unlocked from Day 1. The T-Mobile/Verizon/Boost Exception: Even if you choose one of these carriers during checkout at Apple to get a special deal, the phone still arrives unlocked. The AT&T Exception: This is the only "trap." If you buy from Apple but choose AT&T Installment Plans (financing through your AT&T bill), the phone will be locked to AT&T until the device is paid off in full. 2. If you buy from a Carrier (Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T) No, it is usually locked. AT&T & T-Mobile: The phone is locked until you pay it off completely. For T-Mobile, this can sometimes take up to 365 days of active service. Verizon: They have a unique "60-day rule." Even if you are still paying for the phone, Verizon automatically unlocks it 60 days after activation, provided your account is in good standing. 3. If you buy from a Retailer (Best Buy, Target, Walmart) It depends on the "Flex Policy." Most iPhones sold at big-box retailers are "Reseller Flex" units. This means they are unlocked in the box, but they lock to the first SIM card (eSIM) you activate. New IPhone 17Pro Max

I absolutely love my new Apple IPhone 17Pro Max. I choose the 2Tb Silver and it fits me perfectly. Takes great pictures, clear calls, volume control is on point. So far everything I have used the phone for has gave me no issues. I would highly recommend getting one yourself.

While spam can sometimes be device-independent, we recommend enabling AT&T ActiveArmor our security app, included in our postpaid plans, that helps block spam and fraud calls. You can download it from your app store or visit att.com/activearmor to learn more. You could also try the following: -Use built-in iPhone tools: Silence Unknown Callers (sends unknown numbers straight to voicemail) -Block individual numbers -Filter unknown senders in Messages. Avoid answering unknown numbers. If your watch doesn't connect to your new phone, try these steps: -Make sure both devices are updated: On iPhone: Settings → General → Software Update On Watch: Watch app → General → Software Update -Turn Bluetooth and Wi-Fi off back on. -Restart both devices. To restart you Apple Watch: hold the side button → Power Off. -Check if the watch is still linked to your old iPhone. Love the camera and storage in this phone!

I got 2TB storage on this phone for the purpose of sports videography with editing and uploading to YouTube. This phone has everything I need to make that happen. I also have other cameras, but the DJI Action 5 Pro isn't aren't quite as clear as this one and the Lumix is heavy. This is the winner!
