The jbl speaker is great pairs very easy with your phone on blue tooth the sound is fab doesn’t sound tinny or distorted either when put up very loud it’s so loud not sure my neighbours like it The lights on the speakers are a nice effect gives a Party mood I preferred the lights without the extra sparkle So I turned that effect off. My 16year old son liked the sound effect buttons especially The mixer sound effect The speaker is amazing and the handle idea makes it so much easier to carry my friend had an earlier model this is so much better

I was amazed by how powerful and clear the sound was. Even at low volume, the music feels rich, and when I turn it up, the bass really kicks in without distorting the vocals. It makes any song feel great, whether it’s a mellow track or something upbeat. What I enjoy the most are the lights. At night, they sync perfectly with the music, and it instantly changes the mood of the room. I’ve had friends over, and everyone commented on how it felt like a mini club. It’s also great outdoors recently, I use it regularly in the garden for a barbecue, and it easily filled the space with music for hours without me worrying about the battery. it’s more than just a speaker it creates an atmosphere, whether I’m relaxing alone, cooking, or spending time with friends. If you combine it with one of the partylights from JBL then you can't go wrong

This speaker is everything I had hoped it would be. The most incredible aspect is the audio quality, it's exactly what I would expect from JBL. It maintains this quality even when it is set to its higher volume and deepest bass, there is no distortion and the audio quality maintains its clarity. And this speaker can reach good volumes that are suitable for small gatherings and events. Its capable of delivering volumes suitable for parties. In addition to this the speakers manages well at low volumes so the user has the versatility of using it as a daily speaker rather than just for parties. The speaker is a complete vibe with the light show it produces. The lights are hypnotic and really effective at setting the mood. The lights can be adjusted and you can chose the colour. It could be improved by having the option to choose more than one colour. However, the presets look stunning and the light show matches the music and beat. There's a real attention to detail with this speaker. JBL have achieved a really premium feel, the concept may feel a bit gimmicky but it has all the aesthetics and build qualities of a high end speaker. Every inch of it feels high end, from the mesh speaker grill having a metal surface and cool pattern to the handle having a very satisfying soft close where it slowly drops down and secures with a click. I love how the rubberised back flap which houses the aux, guitar and Mike input is softly illuminated upon opening. I love how the battery has a fabric pull tab. The casing is manufactured from a very high grade plastic. I have touched on the speakers versatility and its worth pointing out that it can have either a 2 mike input or a mike and guitar. This is accessed under a vulcanised rubber flap. This area is illuminated by a soft white LED which really aids placing any cables in. I love how there is the facility to swap out the batteries. It means that the party can continue with the swap of a battery. And in addition when one battery is eventually exhausted and needs replacing then the speaker isn't obsolete. The App is very user friendly but the speaker has good functionality on the interface at the top. There are three programmable buttons which have the sound effects, ie the air horn. It also has a few DJ record scratches and some vocal hype sounds. There's also a button to cycle between regular bass and two levels of bass boost. There's the on/off button, Bluetooth pairing and sync. There are two dials symetrically either side. One has the light controls with the centre button turning the lighting on or off and the dial smoothly cycling through the options. The other has the play control in the centre play and pause with the dial controlling the volume. There is a battery indicator bar too. The App offers even more functionality and control with a wider choice of sound effects and DJ effects. It has presets equaliser and the ability to customise. Also within the app is the ability to link the speakers to create a stereo pair. I was hoping that I could link it with my JBL surround sound system but it didn't recognise it within this App. I tried to link it using my Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra using the feature to have two Bluetooth outlets. However there was a delay between the two outputs and despite using the metronome this couldn't be rectified. The battery is incredibly efficient. It's tiny considering the size of the speaker. Yet despite this it achieves hours of loud output and bright lights. Obviously volume and music output will influence the duration of the battery power. In my experience I would say I've been getting four to five hours at full volume with the deepest bass setting and the light show. And don't forget this can be extended with the purchase of an additional battery. Charging time is super quick. I would have liked to see this with a USB-C charging point however it requires its own adapter. The speaker itself is super portable. It seems like its been designed with ergonomics in mind. It's not overly heavy or awkward to manoeuvre and carry around. When placing it down it is stabilised with four rubberised feet. There is also a grab slot at the base which aids you greatly when moving it around. It comes with a dust cover which slides over the top to the bottom. This prevents moving it whilst the dust cover is on. My only gripe with this speaker is the start up/ shut down and successful connection sounds. Even if the volume is at its lowest these sounds are loud.

I've used the speaker maultiple ways, used it for a house party and the base and acoustics where great, the lights on the speaker also added a disco vibe in the room. The speaker also works well with the TV so it's perfect for movie nights because it gives off a dolby cinema effect again the lights in the speaker sync with the movie so they turn switch colour depending on the scene e.g if its an intense scene speaker lights turns red etc. I Also recently used it in a large venue with 30 people for a birthday party and again it worked well, all in all its a great portable, lightweight medium speaker.

Sound quality is 10/10, the light show feature is a nice addition, and can be disabled with the push of a button. Connects with ease via Bluetooth, and syncing to the partybeam light was no trouble at all. Battery life is plenty, but has a nice long power lead for when it’s not. Great size speaker, packs a massive punch.

I've been testing the JBL PartyBox Club 120 for a while now and im super impressed! If you love music and your looking for something with bass then this is the speaker for you. Its super loud and very very bassy! I wasn't expecting it to be as powerful as it is, ive owned a few party speakers and none of them come close to this one. My favourite thing about this speaker is the colourful lights and the way they go with the music, it has so many useful features, it really is the perfect party must have! Bluetooth connects very quickly and it even has a mobile app that you connect to and use with your speaker. Battery life lasts a very long time I used it for a week before I had to charge it for the first time. It is pretty heavy but with the handy handle makes it easier to transport. I would highly recommend this party speaker to everyone!

Bought this for step son he loves it, loud enough for a house party but not extreme enough to annoy the whole road. Love the lights on the front and the extra app extras you can use on it. I love jbl for sound quality and bass it’s impressive

This is the loudest speaker I now have. It’s SO LOUD. The sound is crisp and I like to have the bass boost turn up double. I got this hoping that it would be louder than the sound system next door have so I could give them a taste of their own medicine when they decide to have theirs on to loud I could literally wind karaoke to their music. And it will definitely drown out their sound, and hopefully annoy them and much as they annoy us. The kids love the lighting and how it can be changed, and also that it reacts to the music too. I might be converting to JBL with this quality of this, you can tell they’ve taken their time with this sound system, it’s great.

Powerful sound is an understatement, I thought the windows were in trouble at one point. I enjoyed the light feature but do think you need to have a few other bits to turn it into a real party. It is extremely easy to set up and use all the sound features. I bought the wireless microphones to go with them and again they were really good. Extremely easy to set up but the adaptor does need charging as that caught me off guard to start with. I had Spotify up on my phone which gives you the lyrics to most songs so I've now got to suffer weeks of Kpop demon hunters!

I have been using the JBL PartyBox Club 120 for a few weeks now, and overall it’s a nice party speaker especially for its size. It has a powerful sound, the bass is impressive, the light also makes it fun. The Bluetooth works reliably and mic/instrument makes it easy to enjoy karaoke. The downside: for a very large crowd and open spaces a single unit won’t be able to deliver good coverage and the battery life falls short of the 12 hours claim, when you play it loud and use the lights.

I was super impressed with the JBL speaker, it’s a decent size amazing sound quality and awesome lights on the speaker. The speaker was extremely easy to get setup and really easy to use. I was super impressed with the sound quality, it was like having the artist stood in front of me. I would fully recommend this product.

We are house of music lovers - top to bottom. This speaker was particularly a winner with the family, specially with the kids. The options of different colour schemes and flow of lighting is well thought and the flashes of bright white gives a real club effect. The sound can be tweaked with button options including dj effects and more options via the phone application. In terms of sounds it is warm with extra bass selected and doesn't sound muddled or hollow. I will be using the speaker in the summer house gym and the lights give a real boost of motivation when you're pushing yourself. If I was fussy I would have liked the case of the speaker to have rear vents to allow 360 to bounce against the wall for more effect. This speaker is step up from a portable handheld. If your only buying one and not needing to transport via backpack then this would cover more use cases for the home and small to medium size parties where the power satisfies to fill the room up.

This is the speaker of all speakers, super easy to set up and use, Bluetooth hooks up easily, the JBL app where you control the lights and bass etc, has an absolutely amazing sound which really brings the party to life

If you need a speaker for a small to medium sized gathering then this will give you the best bang for your buck! This speaker is ideal for most people out there if you need something that can fill a room with your favourite tunes. Outdoors, this speaker has a decent range, though from standing 15 metres away from the speaker at max volume, it isn't noticeably loud but not quiet either. This speaker is definitely ideal for closed spaces as it fills any room very well and can add to the party vibe with the light up party rings on the front of it. The colour and light animation of these rings can be determined through the JBL PartyBox app, which can set the mood for any space. The JBL PartyBox app also comes with several Equaliser presets, such as Chill, Movie and Vocal, which can be useful depending on what you are listening to on the speaker. It also comes with a custom Equaliser mode if you're one of those people who want to fine tune the settings to get the best out of the JBL PartyBox 120. It also has several Bass boost options which can be controlled via the app and the top control panel on the speaker itself ; press once and the bass becomes noticeably deeper and press twice to switch to a punchier bass mode. Despite this however, it delivers amazing sound quality with and without enabling these extra features, which is just what I would expect with JBL. As well as this, we were able to test out the microphone capabilities and hosted our own mini karaoke night! The microphone’s settings could be controlled via the app as well as on the speaker itself, which is a good feature which JBL have implemented. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this speaker to anyone and everyone as not only is it very versatile but it also produces good sound for its size and price.
