    Great travel companion

    Bought this to take with me when I am at work. I travel quite a lot. This speaker is just what I was looking for. Small but mighty and the clip is very useful.

    Horrible product

    Bought this speaker at the airport. Worked one time and now refuses to stay on for more than three seconds. DO NOT BUY THIS SPEAKER IF YOU DONT WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY.

    We're sorry to hear about that. Our JBL Clip 5 has a published playtime of up to 12 hours which is the maximum battery time you will get when listening at background levels. As you turn up the volume, the playtime will be reduced, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. The same goes for source material. Music with more bass will also reduce playtime. It is possible that the battery is working correctly but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Battery playtime also decreases as the battery ages and all batteries, over time, will slowly wear down. Please charge the speaker to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, please contact our customer support for further assistance.

    Awesome personalization

    I love the personalization option for these radios! I got a radio personalized for my husband. The picture quality looks great however the JBL logo was flimsy and coming off immediately after we opened it which was unfortunate. Other than that. Looked and sounded great!

    Please make the buttons lockable!

    I love these speakers, have three of them, use them at work where I move around a lot and want the music to follow. It's usually clipped to my belt, as I'm sure 1000's of people use it, but for the love of all that is holy when will you make the buttons lockable!? The one thing that really annoys the hell out of me is the buttons constantly get pushed by accident and the music pauses or the volume goes right up and down. Please fix in the next model!

    Love the sound, connectivity could be better

    I would give the JBL Clip 5 a solid 3.5/5. I really like the speaker overall, especially the ability to customise the sound depending on my mood. Having options such as JBL Signature, Chill, and Energetic is a great feature and gives the listening experience more flexibility. I also absolutely love the colour options! As someone who loves pink, the beautiful pink colour was definitely a big plus for me. The design is cute, stylish, and very portable. However, my main reason for not giving it a higher rating is the Bluetooth connectivity. Coming from another speaker brand, I expected JBL to perform better in this area. Switching between my iPhone and Mac isn’t always seamless, and I sometimes have to manually reconnect the speaker. I have also experienced occasional audio glitches even when my device is very close to the speaker.

    Quality speaker

    Had this baby for a couple years now and use it almost every day. The logo has worn completely off. It's scratched and stained but still poppin! Love this speaker.

    10000% Recommend

    love my JBL I have been using it for years. It's great to take literally anywhere, I use it everyday while I'm getting ready and I take it to the beach, the opportunities are limitless because of it's great design. The volume is very good as well and much better compared to other speaker brands.

    I noticed one of the two guys I was playing golf with had a JBL Clip 5 and it sounded as nice as my JNL Charge 5, as soon as I got off the golf course I ordered one from JBL. Now I can clip it onto my golf bag and crank up my tunes while playing.

    I bought this little JBL Clip 5 for taking on river trips this summer. It has been the perfect speaker! It sounds great, securely clips to my kayak, and I don’t have to worry about water splashing on it. I chose to have it personalized with a photo I took, and absolutely LOVE how it turned out!! It charges quickly and holds a charge well. If you’re thinking about this one - you won’t regret buying it!

    be careful what picture you choose

    (got the custom photo one) kinda disappointed with the print. they need to make the preview more accurate, because i chose a picture with a white background thinking the edges would blend in but in person the speaker is like a grey instead of white so the picture edge is cut off smh if i knew i would have picked a png

    Long battery life more volume and Bass sound than my JBL Clip 2 that I loved. Not a massive difference, but definitely noticeable plus the added bonus of IP67 water resistant. Noticeable weight difference without being cumbersome what so ever.
