This JENSEN MR-550 is an attractively styled and portable AM/FM radio. The large analog tuning knob simplifies adjusting to your favorite station, and the speaker delivers excellent sound with clear and static-free audio. Play music from other devices like your tablet, iPod, MP3 player, or other digital audio players using the built-in auxiliary input jack. The compact, durable design features a carrying handle and telescopic antenna. The MR-550 operates on 120V AC or on four (4) x "C" batteries (not included) and makes the radio suitable for taking it with you anywhere you go.

A: No AC adapter required on the JENSEN model MR-550. The AC cord is built into the back cover.

Thought I should have a portable radio (that can be either battery for taking outside or electric operated if needed indoors) and this one fit the need. My husband said don’t expect much from it but he was WRONG! This little radio sounds great! Easy to tune in to a station! Absolutely love it and highly recommend it! The picture is exactly how it looks physically. Not too loud, I can even carry it in my bag. I use it in the kitchen when I'm cooking. I don't have to worry about a playlist, I just keep it o. my favorite station. I've been searching for so long for an a.m, f.m radio. I love this. can't wait to take with me to the beach and parks next summer!!

Doesn't receive some radio station signals that it should, especially with an external antenna. I suspect that the reception difficulties have something to do with the analog station tuner because I can receive stations on 2 other radios with digital tuners.

I owned one [from Target] on a strong FM station Sunday Baroque music comes in clear and brite.
After one year it began having internal RF scratch-like static. It's only gotten worse. I will buy another, today.

My order arrived early but I am not very happy with my new radio. I had the same one which worked much better than this new one. The tuning dial is way off and my regular radio station that I listen to does not come in very good.
