This JENSEN MR-550 is an attractively styled and portable AM/FM radio. The large analog tuning knob simplifies adjusting to your favorite station, and the speaker delivers excellent sound with clear and static-free audio. Play music from other devices like your tablet, iPod, MP3 player, or other digital audio players using the built-in auxiliary input jack.     Thought I should have a portable radio (that can be either battery for taking outside or electric operated if needed indoors) and this one fit the need. My husband said don’t expect much from it but he was WRONG! This little radio sounds great! Easy to tune in to a station! Absolutely love it and highly recommend it!     The picture is exactly how it looks physically. Not too loud, I can even carry it in my bag. I use it in the kitchen when I'm cooking.     Inadequate Reception

    Doesn't receive some radio station signals that it should, especially with an external antenna. I suspect that the reception difficulties have something to do with the analog station tuner because I can receive stations on 2 other radios with digital tuners.

    The Perfect AM/FM Radio

    I bought this radio for my parents who are in their 80’s. They love the ease of the dials, the great sound quality when listening to both AM and FM radio, along with the light weight of the radio - even when using it with batteries. 10 stars!!

    I owned one [from Target] on a strong FM station Sunday Baroque music comes in clear and brite. After one year it began having internal RF scratch-like static. It's only gotten worse. I will buy another, today.
