Apply to clean, dry skin. For optimal color results, exfoliate with Jergens Natural Glow Color Primer Exfoliating In-Shower Body Scrub once per week prior to color application.     My review was not sponsored. It looks like some of them are. I used it once and didn’t notice a difference but I really liked the smell and went to use it again (about 1 week after original)- well I guess the first time I didn’t use enough because the second time I was feeling dry so I used a lot more and my entire color was darker more the next day even my husband was so confused he was like why do you look darker and I was like well we spend yesterday outside. But then I opened my hands and realized I didn’t get in between my fingers gooof enough on only one hand and realized it was the same color as the rest of my body so it was 10000% the lotion, I also didn’t use any on my face but I didn’t wear sunscreen yesterday and didn’t tan at all on my face. The results are really nice, I will use this in the winter but I am going to stop for the summer. I also can probably only use this periodically I think if I used it daily like it suggest I would probably turn orange instead of tan. For reference I am VERY VERY PALE, you can usually see all my veins on my arms and I usually look blueish / purple ish. So really 1 thick coat did the trick for me

    Amazing product that works great on first application

It’s so simple to use and the bottle lasts so long. The only downside is the after scent. Right when you put it on it smells amazing but after it sets you have that knarly well know sunless tanner scent which is a rough one for me. But it’s a small price to pay for tanner skin!

For me the lack of visibility during application caused a lot of patchiness and it had that distinct chemically smell of self tanner. I would rather use a foaming self tanner as the results with that are much more predictable and using the Jergens moisturizer didn’t prevent the self tanner scent I would love to avoid. It was hydrating but I personally felt that wasn’t enough of a bonus when the product fell short with the other things previously mentioned.
