It can be installed as easily (or easier) as a base by rotating the rigid LATCH out and clicking on your vehicle's anchor points. When installing using any method, make sure the car seat is level, and the indicators on the LATCH connectors are green. Do not install with both LATCH and the seat belt, choose only one means of installation.

Q: Has anyone tried to lay their newborn flat in the stroller by laying the back all the way down? Is it safe to do so?

A: Personally I don’t like or recommend it, it’s not flat like a bassinet so I feel like baby isn’t secure

submitted byBri - 29 days agoA: Thanks for reaching out. The nutmeg stroller can be used from birth on it's own or with a joie infant car seat as a travel system. To use the stroller from birth the seat must be fully reclined, the calf-support must be fully raised and the closure flaps attached.

Q: How can you measure/decide if the mint infant car seat -maple is compatible with/fits correctly in your vehicle?

A: Thank you for your question. The mint latch is a baseless infant car seat that can be installed using most cars' rigid lower anchor attachments. The vehicle manufacturer determines the dimensions and specifications of the lower anchors in your car, which can vary from car to car. You should measure from the middle of each anchor point in your vehicle; if it is approximately 11 inches, the mint latch should fit. If you can not use the lower anchor attachments in a car, you can still install the mint latch without a base using the vehicle seat belt.

A: Thanks for reaching out. The nutmeg stroller is a single stroller meant for one child at a time. It can be used from birth as a travel system or the newborn nest. It can be used up to 50 lb. as a regular stroller.

A: Thanks for your question. Nutmeg does stand on its own. If you are having issues, try these things: - Make sure all the wheels are unlocked - Before you fold it, reverse the stroller for a few inches; this will move the front wheels 'backward', which can sometimes help ensure a smoother fold and keep the stroller more balanced for standing. - Ensure that the basket is empty. A: Thanks for reaching out. The cab size of your truck will determine if the car seat will fit. The length of the bottom of the mint latch car seat is approximately 16 inches. Joie uses the 80/20 rule - the vehicle seat must support 80% of the car seat, and 20% can hang over the edge of the vehicle seat.

As a FTM, it's difficult trying to figure out which travel system is best. My boyfriend was really into the Nuna, but I couldn't justify us spending that much on a carseat that would last (at most) until our son turns one. After shopping around, I found this Joie stroller/carseat combo and felt like it was the perfect Nuna dupe, so I added it to our registry. It has all the great perks of being very lightweight, SO easy to collapse the stroller (with ONE BUTTON!!), easy to hook on the carseat, and hooking it into the car was a breeze (with no base!), and not to mention, this maple color is EVERYTHING! The biggest bonus is the AFFORDABILITY! All of this for only $400?! We absolutely LOVE this travel system and are so grateful to our family for surprising us with it. With me becoming a SAHM, I feel 1000% comfortable handling this travel system all on my own with my little one. It's perfect. You will not regret buying it!

We love our Joie Nutmeg stroller! My baby is obsessed with it, and honestly, so am I. It looks so much like our Nuna (which we also love), and I’ve been in love with it since the first time I saw it. I convinced my husband to get it as our travel stroller, and I have zero regrets! It’s super practical, lightweight, and easy to handle. My baby loves how much it reclines—perfect for cozy naps on the go. The only thing I’d change is adding a zippered pocket for storage, but I added a stroller organizer, and it works perfectly. The canopy is my favorite, extends A LOT!! The car seat is GREAT, very similar to our nuna pipa!!!! Oh, and the color? Absolutely beautiful and so chic! Totally recommend it!

This travel system is honestly so AMAZING! The infant car seat just latches into the car and good to go. The stroller is just as amazing. I underwent C-section and honestly this combination travel system was light weight for me after my first 2 week recovery. Still in recovery but this is THE BEST travel system out there. Highly highly recommend to all new parents. Going to be adding in some other Joie products as my baby grows.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying this stroller rolls so smooth on many different types of terrain. From trails to city streets my daughter loved the ride. I truly enjoyed how far down the sun shade went, we were able to go from day to night no problem on long walks.It is so easy to open and fold by yourself I was truly amazed. I live in a highly populated city area and the way that this stroller is able to maneuver around small areas in stores was a lifesaver. The quality of the stroller was amazing I really enjoyed that the stroller has a complete recline unlike many other strollers on the market today for sale. I usually don't think installing a car seat is going to be easy this car seat completely changed my mind, I installed the base myself within 5 minutes. As for in baseless mode this is a game changer for going in Ubers and other rideshares I sat down placed the car seat next to me flip down the little legs and my baby was secure for the ride it was truly amazing. If you're looking for a compact all in one system I definitely recommend and I am raving to all my friends about this system.

I've been using these products for a few months now and am so pleased with this purchase! The car seat is lightweight and easy for me to latch in/out of the car. And I love the extended shade cover that is perfect for keeping the sun out while still allowing for a breeze to come through so baby doesn't get over heated. The nutmeg stroller is my go-to! It's so easy to load/unload and is compact and lightweight, which is ideal as I am often traveling or on the go. It lays completely flat which I love for naps and diaper changes. The only thing I would change is a bigger storage basket underneath.

After a lot of research, I went with this set for my first baby. This is a great value for this system. It gives you options that many high end brands require you to buy extra pieces for like the bassinet mode and the mint latch. Love the one handed fold just like many other top brands, but sadly this is the only one handed fold joie offers which is why I went with the nutmeg over ginger.

I researched car seats and travel systems for months and I couldn’t be happier than I am with this one. We wanted something lightweight since the reason we stopped using our last infant seat was because by the time our girls were 6 months old, carrying them in the car seat killed my back. This one is super lightweight and is baseless, which is another plus for our family. With this seat, we didn’t have to move either of our toddlers to the third row so we could still access the third row. Since this seat unlatches to the anchors in the car, we can easily put the seat down to access the third row for our oldest, and then just latch this seat straight in. It feels super secure when latched, my husband is a police officer and former vol fireman, so safety was a huge thing for us and he’s even more picky about car seats than I am. This is very comparable to the Nuna urbn, for a fraction of the price! The material looks and feels high end! Overall, we couldn’t have picked a better travel system! I highly recommend!

I like that It's easy to fold, lightweight, lays flat, and tires roll well so far. We tried the car seat with the seat belt and it moved a lot, so we're only using the latch installation, problem is it only came with a pair of latch guides, and it doesn't seem like they sell extras so it's harder to install in other cars we're setting if we can use the Nuna latch guides with this.

Was super excited for this travel system and honestly ended up getting super disappointed. Red flags: the canopy doesn’t stay in place and seems crooked all the time, car seat moves a lot after latching onto the vehicle, car seat get stuck when using it with the stroller and it’s pretty hard to release from stroller, chemical smell super strong. Stroller is supper lightweight and but when using it it’s hard to turn or maneuver on grass wheels get stuck and will not move. My son cries all the time he is in his car seat. Joie’s customer service sucks they are horrible, they told me that its a new item that it would get better by time and that the other issues are and okay and basically they turned their back and said its a target issue not the manufacturer issue. Bought this car seat thinking it would be as close as a nuna I could get for maybe half the price. Honestly was not a fan. The target we picked it up from didn’t have a display out which was red flag #1. But i decided to give it a chance. For one I don’t like the sun-blocker it doesn’t stay in play and bounced back and would not budge or stay. For two the texture was just not it. I really wanted to like it but honestly would not recommend. It’s honestly very cheaply made. The evenflo travel system I had years ago was better than this..
