Q: I asked a few days ago and never got a response back every time I set the clock on this microwave it always goes back to military time I set it like the instructions tell me to do.

  • A: Thank you for your question. To switch between settings on the clock Press the Timer/Clock button and hold for 3 seconds to select the 12-hour clock option. Press again to select the 24-hour clock option. To change the time, press the number pad and enter the current clock time. For example, if the time is 8:30, press "8,3,0" in order. Press the Timer/Clock pad again to confirm.

Normal Microwave but no manual cook time

This microwave is fine, it works well. Setting the time is a pain. You hold the clock/timer button for 3 seconds, write your time and then hit click again to confirm it. The biggest problem is their customer service. I was trying to find out how to set a manual cook time, because it's the kind that automatically goes for a minute if you hit the 1 button and so on. So I tried going on Kenmore and finding the owners manual, but when I entered the model number, nothing came up, so I called them instead and they couldn't figure it out. Not a big deal but I would prefer be able to input my own time.

Worked for a month

Microwave is not a bad size, small but worked great for my family of three. The child lock was a feature I liked until today when the lock failed to disengage. It won't open. You can't do anything with the buttons. Unplugging to reset has done nothing. Locking and unlocking the child lock manually (holding the stop button for three seconds) does nothing. This problem seems to have a solution which according to the internet at large is completely remove the microwave cover that says do not remove and manually spring the springs which won't guarantee it can still open anyway. I'm within the return window so it's going back. Just gotta figure out how to return it with soup trapped inside.

Poor Quality

The microwave sat unevenly and wobbled. The legs were not adjustable to fix the issue. The button to open the microwave stuck on the very first try when opening the door and on every subsequent try. Not sure what happened to Kenmore’s quality control. Returned it immediately for a refund.

Dont waste your money

I bought this for my own personal use in my office. I work M-F and would microwave one freezer meal 3-5 days a week for 4.5 min. It lasted about two months before it stopped heating up food. It would run, but the meal would still be frozen in the end. Solid. Piece of junk. I had to return it and just barely got it back before the return window closed.

First day I tried this microwave the door got stuck and it wouldn’t open. It took half an hour to get it open. The buttons are not user friendly and shouldn’t be this difficult to figure out. It’s junk! Do not buy!

We bought this for my daughters dorm. As soon as we plug it in it turns on and won't stop until we open the door. Then when you shut the door it will be off for a bit then turns on its own. Does not heat at all. We had to go out and get her another one. Very disappointed in this purchase
