if the advertising of the waterproof barrier was removed i would give this product 5 stars, but i bought this because i wanted a waterproof zippered mattress encasement and it is not waterproof.

The most common reasons for a waterproof protector to leak would be if it was washed with bleach or dried on too high of heat which can damage the waterproof backing. Fits fine and keeps a cool temperature but it's noisy under the sheets. It sounds plastiky. Would not recommend for adults.

Very thin material for a mattress protector. My son had an accident the first night I put it on. Leaked right through to the mattress.

We have a new twin mattress in my daughter’s room and this mattress pad is exactly what we need to keep it safe. The pad is soft with no crinkling sounds and machine washable. It is water proof and fits the mattress well.

I needed a mattress protector for a mattress I got for my son. Did a water test on this and not a single drop went through. The material is soft and doesn't make any crinkling noise when turning over in bed. It fits the mattress perfectly. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
