Kinky-Curly Knot Today Natural Leave In Detangler - 8 oz

Left my hair dry...it didn't moisturize or detangle anything. Got this because of the reviews but I don't think this is meant for people with 4c hair. It didn't do anything but sit on my hair. It's expensive and there are better products that do more for less

I like this product other than the price- it’s gone up $5 since a year ago! That is why I’m rating low. This product works like a charm but shame on this company and/or Target for charging so much! I anticipate some price increase due to rising inflation but not 40%!!!

Left my hair dry and stiff with white residue. It was not a good detangler either. I applied it to wet hair.

Been using this product for so many years over a decade and never disappoints. I have curly hair and it’s gets so tangled that it feels like a birds nest. Let me just say this is my go to detangler. Makes my hair so soft once I apply it. A little does a lot. What I like the most that it’s a leave in and it does not weigh my hair down.

This definitely helps detangle but it doesn’t play well with other hair products. Leaves behind residue.

I desperately needed an alternative to my regular leave-in curl products as those are protein heavy and my low porosity dense medium coarse hair gets protein overloaded pretty easily. Trying to find a silicon free products that is not made with heavy butters and oils is a mission of its own. Luckily I found this and most importantly it was available at my local target. I don’t have sensitivity to fragrances but I did expect something a little nicer based on the reviews stating how nice* it smells. I combined this with the curl gel from the same line and my hair smells like plastic barbie hair lol. Now for the good stuff, as far as slip it provides a nice slip without feeling heavy and helps detangle. However the consistency is a bit strange. Its not creamy its more of a jelly, and turns foamy if you emulsify in your hands. After apply this leave in I used the gel from the same line and my hair instantly felt like straw while wet. I panicked but once dried and the cast is broken the curls are soft. Maybe a little too soft? I might need to pair it with a different gel. Overall the product delivered, helps detangle, provides moisture and best of all is protein/silicone free. 1 star off for the scent, I would happily accept non fragrance than the plastic barbie hair scent.

I have low porosity 2C/3A hair. I purchased this product because I heard it’s super lightweight and water based. I’ve only used it once, and I already love the results. My curls are so bouncy and hydrated.

I hope this is a product Target keeps on its shelves. It gives my curls hold but not hard like using gel. I have never found a product that compares, there are no dupes.

Detangles VERY curly and dry hair with very little product and works immediately. I had to review this product after using it because it’s literally magic in a bottle. Best conditioner out there and I’ve tried most of them.

This is by far the best detangle for thick, curly coarse hair.

We ditched every other brand! This is the only thing that doesn't smell like a bottle of laundry detergent with a full bottle of scent beads added to it! Thank you, Kinky Curly, for making a product that doesn't smell from 2 rooms away! This is the best product I have tried in years and years! It has helped my silky straight hair AND my daughter's 3b/c ringlets! It makes brushing so easy and a little goes a long way! Also, this product has a pretty decent EWG rating, so you can feel safer using it! I was so frustrated with all these expensive products causing so much beakage, eczema flares on the scalp. We have less. Buildup and less irritation! Please, don't change the scent, formula, anything!! This is the only product on the market that we can use due to our sensitivity on our scales. Less fragrance is always better and this is now our staple! Also, we don't use anything else on top. We stopped using all gels. Gels were hurting her curls. This works well, just start from soaking wet hair and use a wide tooth comb to go through, then finish with a finer tooth to clump curls. You may need a thicker cream for the hairs at the temple, ones that get more touching/moving/tucking behind the ears.

My daughter has kinky spiral curls. In the morning I wet her hair & use this on that crazy bedhead it combs through mostly nice and easy along with defining & shining her curls so nice. Smells good to

I have been using this stuff for the past probably 12 years. Back when it used to be $9 a bottle. It’s a hidden gem and a must have especially if you have curly hair of any kind. Has the most incredible slip. Please stop going up on the price. It’s getting out of hand.

Absolutely love this conditioner. I use it as a rinse as well as a leave in. (I also use this company’s curl custard). I have a mix of 2b/2c curls and lotsa frizz! My hair is medium thickness and many conditioners weigh it down or do nothing. I find this very hydrating. It leaves my hair bouncy and soft. I don’t heat style my hair so I don’t need as much moisture, but if I do I simply mix a little Squalane oil (very lightweight) and leave it on a few minutes to give me a little extra weightless moisture. I appreciate the simple and clean ingredients.

This stuff is magic! My daughter has crazy curly hair and it’s prone to nasty knots that usually just have to be cut out. I put this stuff in and the brush went thru her hair smoothly as possible. No crying or squirming. The tangles and knot disappeared! I would happily spent $25/bottle.

This conditioner is an excellent product with a clean scent. Light and not greasy. I wear it on curly hair after washing/ wetting my hair. I also wear it on straight here it’s awesome. I leave it on all day, keeps my hair soft and conditioned for days. I’ve been using this conditioner for years.

Finally a curly hair product that tames my hair and reduces frizz and isn’t full of a bunch of bad ingredients. And it has a subtle mango smell too!

I use this to setangle and condition my hair. It has great slip and a little goes a long way. I usually rinse it out completely but I'd my hair feels a little dry I will put in a dab (less than a pea) as leave-in. It leaves my hair so soft. I have 2a waves that are very sensitive to products and this is the perfect conditioner as it's very hydrating but simultaneously very light. It also doesn't contain protein which is a plus for me, I use a separate product when I feel like I need a protein hit but my hair isn't tolerate daily protein. 10/10 if they ever change this product I will cry - I've tried so many conditioners and nothing comes close.
