A: i needed it to fit my k-5 lift not tilt, it didn't. i don't think it will fit your 4.5. a warning tho, there is another company that has a wider selection of scaper paddles-they're plastic. so far i have broken 2 on cookie batters that weren't really all that stiff. i called kitchenaid, they don't make one for me, but might for you.

I have owned this product for less than 3 years and it doesn't get used that often. The paint has already began chipping off. When I called customer service I was told it only had a one year warranty and was offered a 20% discount on a new one. I expect better quality and customer service from Kitchenaid.

I made sure my three daughters and three granddaughters had Kitchen Aid stand mixers and now my grands, all five of them are carrying on the tradition. My mixer is my treasured tool in my kitchen. I bought this mixer just over 1 year ago. It was a bought to replace the one we received for our wedding 15 years later. The mixer worked fine e for one month. Then the motor went. Kitchen Aid was quick to send a replacement. The replacement worked for about a year and the motor has gone out again. These mixers aren't built like they were 15 years ago. In my opinion they are beautiful, expensive, paperweights. Better off looking at other brands.

We could kneed bread on level 4 for going on 10 minutes with no bounding etc. This new one they say kneed on level 2 and only for a couple of minutes. When we do kneed the dough the head bounces as if the lock isn't engaged.

It’s a great attachment actually until the white coating began chipping off after 15 months of normal use. Super disappointed because I got ten years at least out of my last paddle attachment.

The white coating chips off! Need a stainless steel model. DO NOT BUY the WHITE beater! It chips off around where it attaches to the mixer and along the outside of the beater. This also happened with the regular beater as well. The white coating chips off into food.
