A: i needed it to fit my k-5 lift not tilt, it didn't. i don't think it will fit your 4.5. a warning tho, there is another company that has a wider selection of scaper paddles-they're plastic. so far i have broken 2 on cookie batters that weren't really all that stiff. i called kitchenaid, they don't make one for me, but might for you.

Unusable-paint chips off
Waste of money. Paint has chipped off, so it is now unusable. KitchenAid quality is not what it used to be. My mom’s old kitchenaid mixer from the 90s is better than mine ever thought about being.

Fantastic

Not as good as I hoped
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my mixer with the stainless steel attachments and the paddle would miss the sides so I thought I'd get this attachment to fix that however, while it gets the sides fine, it still doesn't quite get right to the bottom and it moves the mixture up the bowl until it's above the attachment. I'm a little disappointed that I still can't effectively cream butter and sugar without scraping the bowl by hand often.

UNSAFE to use with food products
Very unsafe for food products the enamel came off the beater and went into our cake pops. My 98 year old mother ate one before we realized the enamel got into our food. She has been bleeding for two days since ingesting the porcelain and of course we had to throw out all the cake pops, but new ingredients which are extremely costly and start all over with a handheld beater!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this flex Edge beater for my mixer because the silicon rubber on my original beater developed a split along the edge. maybe because I have used it so much. I love using this beater as it reduces the number of times I need to stop the machine and scrape down the bowl. My only hope is that pain on the base of the beater does not wear away to quickly to expose the bare metal. Could not live without my Kitchen Aid mixer!

Dont eat paint!
The paint chips off into your food & the rubber spatula cracks off. Need a beater without paint!!

If beater is chipped adjust the mixer head
It is very important to check the angle of where your mixer is in relation to the bowl. If white part of the beater touches the bowl at any time in the rotation it will start to chip off the white enamel coating. I learned this the hard way. There is a screw at the base of the main mixing body that can adjust the mixer. There are lots of videos out there that can walk you through it. Hope this helps someone :)
