[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago, it is a great addition for my husband and I as we like different flavors of ice cream and it makes a smaller amount than what we would be required to purchase at the store

I absolutely love this attachment and have used it pretty much weekly for most of the year. It is super easy to make ice cream and gelato. It makes a perfect amount to enjoy for the week and I have loved experimenting with flavors, swirls and mix-ins. One thing that would be a nice revision to the bowl would be to add a spout to be able to pour mix ins and flavorings easier. It says to mix everything in advance, but I have found that any mix-ins like chocolate chips or berries are better when added about halfway through the process as they do not all end up at the bottom. This is a great product and you will not be disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting to make my own ice cream, but the thought of those big bulky ice cream makers put me off. Then I saw the KitchenAid attachment and decided to give it a try. It is easy to use, and I just store it in my chest freezer until I get the urge to make another batch. Have only had the attachment a couple of weeks, but already have made 5 different flavors. Very please with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been so pleased w/ the KitchenAid Ice-Cream Maker Attachment! We stopped buying ice-cream from the store due to the high level of preservatives and junk they put in ice-cream these days. We were able to make some fantastic Vanilla Ice-Cream using real milk and simple ingredients. My only reservation would be to warn new users, you MUST have the paddle rotating prior to adding your ice-cream mix. If you pour in your mixture and then start the paddle, it will shear off the plastic shaft that presses against the metal motor shaft. Other than that, fantastic and quality product.

The bowl itself is pretty but the dasher does NOT churn the ice cream. It needs the middle blade which the older model had. Apparently Kitchen aid needed to cut costs and took that out. Dumb!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this to go with my Pro Line 7 quart mixer. My wife can't have most ice creams beause she has an egg allergy. I have used a few ice cream makers in my time and this is by far the easiest and most convenient type if you have a KitchenAid mixer. I had no problems with the fit. There is no need for rock salt and tons of ice. Just freeze the bowl overnight and add you ice cream mixture and let it go. It makes soft serve pretty quickly and the texture is amazing. Nice and smooth and creamy. And because the volume of liquid increases as it gets colder a gallon of dairy product make about a gallon and a haf of ice cream. Even making a dairy free ice cream for a family and friends who have dairy allergies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kitchenaidaid Ice Cream attachement was a better investment than purchasing another appliance that will take up space in your home if you already have the mixer. The Ice Cream maker attachement works well. Depending on how cold you freezer is will determine how long to freeze. I was able to use twice in one day. I go crazy dreaming up all the flavors I can make this Summer. Creamy egg base, sorbets to frozen yogurt. I would love to own more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had bought the old model in May 2022. The first week of June 2023, I opened my freezer to find blue liquid leaking out of the freezer bowl. I called Kitchen Aid service and their customer service representative was so helpful, immediately said they would honor my 1 year warranty. I was sent a new and very much improved model which was received in about a week, a shipping label to return the defective model and a new 1 year warranty for the new model! Now that’s real service! I have used the new model and really like the improvements to the dasher design-much easier to scrape off the ice cream. The driver assembly to attach to the mixer head is much more stable as well. Made a batch of vanilla ice cream and it came together much faster than the old one. Old model -20 to 25 minutes of churning; new model-15 minutes! Great product!
