Disgusting.
KitchenAid manufacturers are a joke. You would never see anything like this in European appliances. After using the meat grinder attachment, meat gets pushed into the internal part of the mixer, and then the mixer starts to smell like rotten meat. You have to take the entire mixer apart and clean the inside. I mean removing all the screws and opening the mixer housing! This is disgusting. It is completely unacceptable. Minus 100 stars for the design of their appliances. I want KitchenAid to explain how it is possible to manufacture appliances like this in the 21st century. I am waiting for a response from KitchenAid. Horrible.

Perfect pattie maker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought for a small business kitchen. used twice weekly to produce our mince for our burger patties. 3 sizes of grind allows us to change it up if we need to make bolognaise mince also. easy to use, easy to clean- saves times and makes us more productive.

Very poorly supported
I lost my grinder blade and KitchenAid does not stock spare parts, despite being obligated to do so under Australian Consumer Law. This has rendered the entire product landfill. It's extremely disappointing that KitchenAid have such terrible support for a consumable part of a product.

Hazardous
The blade inside was defective and has been chipping off small bits of metal. We've been slowly ingesting metal bits without realizing it. I purposely bought it from Kitchenaid thinking it would be higher quality and I dont think it is.

KA stand mixer grinder attachment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased KA grinder attachment to use for small batch jobs so that I can avoid setting up my 5hp grinder for small runs. So far I have used it to make four, 5lb batches of venison hamburger with beef and pork fat added. (run with coarse and fine dies to assure dispersion of the fats). The results were excellent. Construction 0f the grinder components were comparable to my high volume set up, just slightly smaller. Set up, running, and clean up were easy and straight forward.

I have now totally stopped purchasing store bought processed products and making everything from scratch (and the family notice the difference in flavour). Best attachment and use it all the time!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trying to clean up my kitchen in so many ways - getting rid of plastic, making as much of our food from scratch etc. This attachment has allowed me to a plastic free tool to make clean sausages for my family, and mince up beef sticks to dehydrate for snacks. It's so helpful as a stepping stone if I want to upgrade to a bigger grinder, but if not, it still does everything I need it to from my kitchen counter. It's a great addition to my kitchen, thanks KitchenAid!

Don't go inside the mixed as it should
I prepared all the products to grind and then realized there is a huge gap between the grinder and the mixer. This gat was advertised nowhere. I watched videos and looked up images in reviews - no gap there. A groove in the attachement doesn't align with a hole in the mixer and a screw is making another groove, widening the original one. I don't know which of them is defective. So what do I do now with the products prepared on my table, grind them with my bare hands?

So easy to use and clean. I now make my own mince and sausages and know what exactly goes into them - all natural no extra water and definitely no other nasties.

Waste of money
My wife got this for me for Christmas. I followed the instructions on grinding the meat up and its just a mess. The meat goes through the coarse dies just fine but when I put on the smaller dies, they immediately get clogged. 4 times I've tried making this work, chilling the meat and the attachments, dicing the meat into very small chunks, etc. but same result. I've had others who grind their own meat try this out and met with the same result. I dont know if the blades are dull or what but I've wasted so much time and money trying to make this work. This attachment is just trash

Great addition to my KitchenAid repertoire
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this in November and have used it every fortnight since. It has been a game changer. Our quality of meat mince seems to taste so much better. I like to combine pork and beef using a 1:2 ratio. The underlying difference is that I know what has gone into the mince prepared; needless to say no additives are added which is good for my family. Love it. Ease of cleaning is an added bonus as is the stainless steel makeup. Thank you Kitchen Aid.
