KitchenAid over the years
Have had the shave ice attachment for a 3 years. I love it! I have a lot of the attachments. Nothing was not worth it. Even use the larger appliances in my kitchen. My KitchenAid appliances have all been reliable.

It attaches quickly and shaves the ice cube in record time The texture is great for snowballs The cube makes enough ice for a kids size snow cone I have pre frozen a bag full of cubes that you make in the 4 containers that come with attachment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seemed like such a good idea for making healthy and fun treats for my grandchildren, but the reality is that it only shaves two-thirds of each block, and those blocks are quite small. Oftentimes it doesn’t grip the block properly either, which is frustrating. Disappointing, given I’ve been very happy with my other attachment (the pasta thingy gets used several times a week).

Our ice-shave definitely makes for a good healthy treat options for kids! What you are experiencing though shouldn't be happening. I wonder if you are filling the moulds to the right level and freezing long enough? Perhaps also you might need to swap out what blade you are using? Great for entertaining
The ice shaver is easy to use and clean. If you pre freeze your recipes a day prior it’s a great addition to bring out on the bench to entertain in front of your guests. If you’re entertaining more than 4; you will need more cups or freeze recipes in batches. It that’s easily done.

Snow cones at home! Fast and easy to use
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is the greatest attachment ever. We use it daily to make slushy drinks and bowl of snow cones. I’m amazed at how powerful this is and can shave ice in matter of seconds. Worth every penny and the uses are endless. I’m going to try making frozen coffee cubes in the near future and make an iced coffee drink. My whole family loves having a snow cone when ever they want. Easy to use and easy cleanup. Great value for your money and healthier than sugary drinks and other frozen foods purchased at the store. I like being able to control the amount of sugar. This would also be great for adult beverages (alcohol). The ice is not shaved so fine that it melts instantly. Can’t say enough good things about this attachment. Love it!

I bought this on a whim and I’m glad I did. My teens have been enjoying it immensely. My refrigerator is full of homemade and store bought syrups and creams, and my freezer is full of ice pucks. Anyway, it’s been a blast and I feel we’ve gotten our moneys worth already. Will be great for parties! It is best to use the ice molds provided for uniformity and smooth shaving. It’s pretty quiet too.
