I purchased this about a month ago to make green tomato relish. The attachment had trouble grinding and the vegetables got stuck over half the time. I don't know if it's the blade or the feeding shaft but basically nothing worked. I'm very disappointed in this piece of equipment. I would think grinding vegetables would be easier than meat!!

Caution
I purchased this attachment a couple of years ago. It has worked great...until yesterday. While in use the plastic locking collar split all the way around and the piece nearest me flew off and struck me in the chest. Dangerous. I definitely would not have children near while in use.

Disappointed
I bought this 2 years ago. I have used it less than 10 times with mixed results. If I froze the meat slightly, it did perform better. Then the plastic housing opened at the seams. Not even while it was in use..while stored in the drawer. I asked twice for information about the warranty...crickets. Finally I dug up the information myself and see the warranty is limited to one year. At this point the quality of Kitchen-aid has gone down so much they aren't even the top pick on America's Test Kitchen.

Product failure
The grinder works fine but the plastic has split and we have not used the grinder very much at all. I have many attachments and love all of them but this grinder is not a product that stands up to the KitchenAid name

Kitchen Aid Knew about this defect
I have a very light use for this attachment on my kitchen aid mixer. I use it once about every two months to grind 5-6 Pounds of chuck beef. This is is cracked and dangerous to use. Kitchen Aid knew everything about the defect in manufacturing and is quiet about it instead of honoring the defect and refunding customers. That is how credible Kitchen Aid is.

Had it for several years, We use it for stuffing sausage only, we grind with a different grinder. had to replace the funnel due to it cracking and now the body of the grinder is cracking,,,

Terrible strainer cone, food gets stuck, broke
The strainer cone is a terrible design. It has a seam where the metal attaches together that food always gets stuck in and is impossible to clean. The white plastic cap on the end also catches food and won’t allow to flow out properly. Also the thin metal cone split at the seam after just a few uses. Get a standalone strainer and avoid the kitchenaid attachment, we learned this the hard way.

Clogs constantly
Constantly clogs no matter how small I cut the pieces of meat. I had to stop the machine and pull apart the pieces about 5 times to grind 2.5 lbs. of beef. I originally purchased this grinder to replace the original grinder I had due to losing the blade. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!! I waited to long to use the item and have missed the return window. $40 plus tax down the drain. 😡
