My family gave me the mixer as a gift. I like it for the most part but it has a habit of not mixing the very bottom center section. It is annoying when you think everything is mixed and go to pour it into baking pan to find unmixed batter. Sometimes I use my old mixmaster instead to make sure batter is mixed the first time.

Bought this model on a super deal one day. Have had mine for a couple years but just started using it more regularly, motor bogs down when making bread and cookies. It’s not as powerful as I’d like it to be. Disappointed for as much as everyone says they’re so great.

I like this one, the reason I and giving this a 4 is because it has tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic sound when I mixed up my cookies. The tic tic tic starts when I add the flour, when the dough got thicker. I called KitchenAid about it and they said this can be normal. It didn't make sense to me. Tic tic tic tic tic sound is normal? Never did it on my other mixer, or ones I use at work. Also I think the beater fits on loosely, when I go to scrap the batter off beater, it has loosened and fallen off. Maybe this is normal with the new ones, but my old one fit nicely with a spring on top.

I have had this mixer for two years and zero issues. It mixes great! I just made bread with the dough hook today and it was amazing! Highly recommend. I have additional attachments and they work great and we’re purchased a year later. Love love love this mixer and worth the money for the time savings and hand pain savings from hand mixing. I do a lot of cakes and cookies at holidays. For reference, I do multiple batches, enough for 200 and it’s held up with that heavy use.

It goes the speed of 6 when it's on the lowest setting and the top heats up after using it for a couple minutes. It makes high screaming sounds when on the higher speeds and has very inconsistent speeds.
