KitchenAid Ultra Power Plus 4.5qt Tilt-Head Stand Mixer - KSM96

Great product from a great store!

Purchased this mixer a couple of years ago and maybe my expectations were too high but unfortunately I'm disappointed with it. I frequently cook and bake and my silver chef mixer (1950s, got it at a yardsale) gave up the ghost and I needed something to replace it. So I got this with high hopes. It's huge and powerful but the bowl seems too deep for a lot of the things I make and I have to contantly stop it to use a spatula to mix. With my sliver chef I was able to use the spatula while it was running but you can't really do that with this; you have sto stop it each time. If I don't use a spatula, the ingredients don't get mixed at the bottom of the bowl because the implement doesn't reach it. Also, the implements are not dishwasher safe and aren't even stainless steel! They're aluminum :-( I read online that you can get replacement parts that are stainless steel but I haven't been able to find them. I got a nice kitchenaid cover on etsy and the unit stays covered looking pretty but rarely used since it's such a pain and time consuming to clean. I'm now buying a Hamilton Beech handmixer with stainless steel implements that are dishwasher safe so I can make things like cakes, and quiche again.

I love it, makes my baking a lot easier. Easy to clean and most of all I can now ground my own chicken and beef with the attachment.

Absolutely love this mixer! It’s beautiful, lightweight & works perfectly! Matches my bread machine & looks great on the counter. The only downside was how FedEx delivered it (box arrived upside down & a bit banged up — see photos). Thankfully, the mixer was well-packed & appears undamaged. Just something to be aware of with shipping. Otherwise, I’m so happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone!

I dreamed of owning a kitchenaid mixer for the longest time, so now that I finally have one, I use it for everything! It makes amazing Meatloaf/meatballs, pizza dough, cookies, anything you can think of. I'm going to start collecting the attachments next!

I love my mixer. It the best thing I have ever brought. It makes things so much easier to cook with. I make all kinds if desserts. I even use it to shredd the chicken

I loved our kitchen aid mixer with the tilt back feature. It was a great mixer for doughs and I baked cinnamon rolls using it. I believe it came with 3 attachments. One was the whisk, the dough hook and the paddle. I mostly used it to knead bread dough and it did a great job.

was excited when first got it used once, and then it broke when I wanted to used it the next time ... it went in the trash

Very fancy compared to the hand mixer I've always used in the past. I'd recommend if you've doing too much in the kitchen. It'll make preparing go faster.

I bought this slightly smaller model with some trepidation (it fit my budget better) but so far I'm very happy with it. This mixer has seen heavy use for the last month and has done a fine job with bread dough, cookie dough, cake batter, and frosting. I bake a lot of bread so the ability to handle bread dough is important to me; so far this machine is doing fine. The color is nice, too. No complaints!

Wish the standard bowl was wider for actually adding flour gradually ,it is too small of a diameter to do so without spilling
