    was so excited to finally own a KitchenAid stand mixer. just so it can give out after the first use. for a $400+ item, i would expect it to work sturdily, yet all these reviews online state otherwise.

    Ease of use

    This mixer is fantastic and does a great job! My husband bought this for me for Christmas, and I have been using it for a while now. I have an apple bread recipe that I love, but using a hand mixer isn't doesn't work. This mixer works wonderful. With the different beaters and speeds, it made short work of the dough. I haven't ever had a stand-up mixer before and I won't be without one now. This one is built to last and I love it.

    Magic in the kitchen!

    I recently bought the mixer and I am quite happy with it. If I had one thing to be less happy about it would be that it warms up considerably if the recipe requires it to run for an extended time. The only other thing would be that the dough hook's enamel looks a little flimsy. Accessories are quite expensive so I'd rather not have to purchase new ones too often.

    I have always loved the KitchenAid! I hope the machine hasn't been downgraded into such a poor state as the handle on the bowl! That skinny pokey sharp piece of junk handle you've got on your new bowls is ridiculous and is not a KitchenAid quality. Go back to the rounded ones that were on the older machines. Don't become one of the "those companies ".

    A Sure Thing

    Kitchenaid is the best selling stand mixer for a reason. Consistent quality and performance make it a sure buy. It is quiet yet powerful. It is also beautiful to have sitting out on a countertop. I am completely satisfied with this stand mixer, which is the second I've owned.

    Saved my aching shoulder!

My main reason for buying it was so that I would no longer have to manually cream butter and sugar, and to make my mother-in-law's Christmas Fruitcake. I should have bought the bigger unit but didn't and just had enough space to mix this recipe with me catching blobs of batter and tossing them back in. LOL (Makes 3 loaf pans). I absolutely love not having to get my shoulder involved in mixing anymore as it had an injury that flares up when it's being used in that way. I got a shield and a flex wedge for Christmas so now I'm pretty well outfitted for all my baking projects.
