Works great but cracked after a few months
Bought in June 2025. I use it at least once or twice per month. Works great. I just got home from vacation and picked it up and it started leaking everywhere. The bottom is cracked. It hasn’t been dropped and I only wash by hand. I’m not sure why it would be cracked. I guess I’m about to find out how good Kitchenaid’s warranty is.

Good but hub assembly ripped
I LOVE making ice cream in this, but my hub assembly is ripping and shredding rubber into my ice cream. I have an old model so I'm wondering if it just doesn't fit right? I have the K45SS, pretty old, but I'm just disappointed in the quality of it.

Love it! (But it cracked)
We purchased ours in April 2025. We have made 1-2 batches a week since then. So many different flavors we've created! I will say, the bowl unfortunately has a crack somewhere and is leaning blue goo from the internals. We have not washed it in a dishwasher, only by hand (never dropped) and put back in the freezer. I'm curious what KitchenAid will do about it. It seems it should last indefinitely with the proper care we've taken while using it a bunch!

Wasted money
The bottom of the bowl cracked our 2nd time using it causing blue liquid to pour all over our counter. In addition, the top spring attachment (hub assembly)was stuck and would not spin the dasher. We got 1 use out of this product. I would not recommend.

Bottom cracks
In 2023 I recieved this product as a gift less then I year and the bottom cracked letting all of the liquid out that keeps it cold and cant be fixed. I reorder it in 2024 because I loved how easy it was to work. Now again the bottom cracked and cant be fixed. This one is less then a year old again. Both times I followed the instructions always handed washed. I even let the bowl come to room temp before washing it. I followed the storage instructions too. Don't know what is going on i will not buy this again.

Not worth the price
We had it for just over a year and then it cracked while in the freezer and liquid started leaking all over the place when we used the bowl. So disappointed that the warranty is only for a year so now it’s useless. We wish it would’ve lasted a little longer, especially for the price.

Terrible product!
Kitchen Aid ice cream maker is a terrible product. Bought brand new - tried to use it several times with full freezing time and different recipes but never got cold enough to even partially freeze the mix . No coolant leaks, no apparent defects. Just doesn’t work!

Simple but impressive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first ice cream maker I’ve owned so I wasn’t sure what to expect or how it worked. After watching a few videos and reviews I decided to make the leap and I am glad I did. Everything is well made as expected and works perfectly. We have made a couple of batches already and I can’t wait to try more recipes. My only suggestion is it should come with a few recipes to help get you started!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this alongside my tilt head mixer. I really love the process of getting the ice-cream mixture ready and seeing it churn - the novelty of it hasn't worn off yet, and don't think it will anytime soon! The product itself is easy to use. I would recommend having your freezer on the coldest setting and letting it freeze for 24 hours, as I did one batch where the bowl was not cold enough so have learnt my lesson the hard way. Super fun product and will produce fantastic results!

Plastic drive Assembly broke
The drive assembly broke on the third use. I tried searching the site for a replacement part but no luck. Then I looked through the reviews and it looks like this is a common problem./

Great Quality
This ice cream maker has been used twice a week for 2 years. It has held up and is still going strong. Hardly any signs of wearing
