Kitchen Aid ice cream maker is a terrible product. Bought brand new - tried to use it several times with full freezing time and different recipes but never got cold enough to even partially freeze the mix . No coolant leaks, no apparent defects. Just doesn’t work!

bowl cracked less than a year and only a handful of uses...now it is worthless

After watching a few videos and reviews I decided to make the leap and I am glad I did. Everything is well made as expected and works perfectly. We have made a couple of batches already and I can’t wait to try more recipes. My only suggestion is it should come with a few recipes to help get you started!

I really love the process of getting the ice-cream mixture ready and seeing it churn - the novelty of it hasn't worn off yet, and don't think it will anytime soon! The product itself is easy to use. I would recommend having your freezer on the coldest setting and letting it freeze for 24 hours, as I did one batch where the bowl was not cold enough so have learnt my lesson the hard way. Super fun product and will produce fantastic results!

The drive assembly broke on the third use. I tried searching the site for a replacement part but no luck. Then I looked through the reviews and it looks like this is a common problem./

This ice cream maker has been used twice a week for 2 years. It has held up and is still going strong. Hardly any signs of wearing

Received this as a Christmas gift 2024, made about 2 dozen rounds of coconut milk ice cream over the course of those 6 months and after handwashing and leaving out to dry last night, the outside cracked somehow and leaked the inside freeze material all over the place.

I received this ice cream maker attachment as a gift. First 2 batches went well, made delicious ice cream, then on third use, the drive assembly snapped into pieces after about 10 minutes of churn. How/where can I get a new one? Is this a common problem? Thanks,

Only the 3rd time using it and it broke right alone the bracket like others have had happen.

so , i am , potentially, concerned the 1st time i used it, it worked GREAT / fantastic then i stored the bold in my cupbord for 6 months (not enough room in the freezer) and i put the bowl in the freezer for 24 hours but the 2nd time it did not work at all Creme Anglaise did NOT freeze bowl did NOT stay frozen I am going to try 1 more time - freezing my bowl for 2 days, and then we'll see what happens (but i have big concerns that it is not going to work) if it does not, can i get a refund or a replacement ??? (& I am a pastry chef, so i know how to make ices cream, and what thickness I need to cook my creme anglaise to)

Broke after 2 uses! To much money for a product that breaks after only 2 uses. Paddle should be built to lock onto the kitchenaid.

Attachment that goes into the paddle is plastic and cracked the second day using it. Horrible product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's not Kitchenaid's fault that my clothes are tighter now, but the fact that this attachment makes incredible ice cream isn't helping the situation! Easy to use and very effective. I do wish that the dasher was made of stainless steel, but other than that this is an excellent product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent for making homemade ice-cream! I got it to make sugar free ice-cream for my type 2 diabetic husband. After an initial hiccup (see tip below) it works perfectly. I have made no sugar vanilla and berry swirl flavours, also chocolate and oreo flavour for my daughter's 12th birthday party. I had all her friends coming back to the kitchen asking for more and saying I was a master chef (though I think they are too kind). TIP: At first try the ice-cream mixture wasn't hardening at all...a quick google revealed that the freezer temp needs to be -18 degrees for the bowl to be cold enough to be effective, and ours was running around -15 degrees. Turned freezer temp down and re-froze the bowl to try again the next day (removing the mixture first and keeping it refrigerated)...and hey presto! Excellent results the next day after a few minutes of churning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this because my husband is a huge icecream fan but bought icecream is more chemicals than icecream these days, made my first lot a day or two after I got it and haven't been able to keep up since, makes beautiful creamy smooth icecream in no time, so easy to use, super easy to set up and clean, just clicks in and out of the stand mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with the ice cream attachment. I love making ice cream for my family with all natural ingredients. It is easy to use. I would have given it 5 stars if it had come with more than one recipe. The recipes are hard to find online.
