Not this one.
Purchased less than 5 months ago and turns on, can hear the motor but does not move. This is my 4th KitchenAid Mixer in 36 years. We love to bake and with exception of this mixer have loved KitchenAid.

Great Product After Adjustment Made
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 1st time I used it to make bread dough it was awful! It wasn’t getting the flour up off the bottom of the bowl. I had to hand knead the dough with the flour off the bottom of the bowl. Then I learned about the possible need to raise the bowl using a screw on the vertical portion of the base. I had to turn it as far as it would go to get the setting where it would move a dime placed on the bottom of the bowl. Proper adjustment of this screw should be made during the manufacturing process prior to shipping. The next time I made bread bowl the mixer performed absolutely great. It’s been great every time since. A wonderful product.

Good mixer, bad support
The mixer is great but the beater attachment started chipping and they won't replace it because apparently the warranty only covers the machine, but not the beater which makes no sense.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to a new KitchenAid mixer after using an Artisan model for years, and overall, I’m really pleased. The larger capacity is a wonderful change, it’s nice to have the extra room for bigger batches, especially for baking days when I need a little more space to work. That said, there is a bit of a learning curve since the head doesn't tilt like I'm used to. It’s a minor adjustment, but worth mentioning if you’re coming from a tilt-head model. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because after just one use and one wash, I noticed small spots of rust or oxidation on the included bowl. It’s not something I would expect so early on with a brand-new mixer, especially from a brand like KitchenAid. Otherwise, it’s a powerful, beautiful machine, and I’m excited to put it to work on many more bakes!

Better than a Tilt head mixer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I owned/Purchased a 5qt Artisan Tilt Head mixer as my first mixer 5 months ago. I begun making pizza dough. I never knew the Artisan mixer bounces around due to the flip head. So i switched to a bowl lift mixer. Much more stable and no more bouncing around. If your gonna make pizza dough get yourself a bowl mixer... i LOVE MY NEW 6qt BOWL MIXER.. It runs Vey Very Quiet!!

Grear mixer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this mixer when I saw that it was on the outlet for nearly half off. This is an upgrade from the one I have had for 30 years. My old mixer was a Professional 5 model. It has served me well. I wanted a little bigger mixer and this 6-qt stand mixer fits that need. The dough hook is a different style from my old unit in that this hook is a spiral hook and my old one was a "C" hook style. They do knead the dough differently. I was disappointed that the new mixer didn't come with a splatter shield. I liked the one on my old mixer because it was in two pieces which made it easier to put on and remove without lowering the bowl. I have made a batch of cookies and they turned out great. I haven't had the opportunity to use the whisk attachment yet. There will have to be an angel food cake in my future.

A little tricky but good
I have this mixer and have for years. I use it almost every day to make pizza dough. The one complaint I have is that there must be a loose wire inside or poor connection - it doesn't always go on in the moment I flip the switch. Sometimes it takes a minute, sometimes I have to smack the top of the mixer to get it to go. Sometimes I give up and walk away and will hear it start. So one star off for that. I have never had to completely abort the mission of whatever I was baking - just wait a little. Otherwise great- love the dough hook and cookie dough paddle attachments

Pasta making is something new to me but for everything so far this mixer is making it easier and possible.

I'm not sure refurbished is a good choice.
I bought this a year ago and have used it infrequently. I last used it to make some chocolate chip cookies and the motor sounded like it was going to fail. It would not start on the low speeds. I regret selling my old tilt KitchenAid stand mixer.
