Big Red is the best kitchen appliance I've bought in over 20 years (my wife is in love with some off-brand toaster she bought last year, but my love is reserved for Big Red.) I never knew how much easier it could be to make banana bread - the butter and sugar creams together so much better with a KitchenAid than it did with my old (other brand) Mixmaster. And using it to make dough, using the dough spiral hook is SOOOO much better than kneading , and kneading, and kneading by hand,. Quality was great. Although I bought it as a KitchenAid factor-refurbished model, it was as if it was new. It was pristine, and all the packaging was as if it were new - the only difference is the model number reflects its refurbished history. I am super-happy that I finally took the plunge to buy a KitchenAid, and I'm really, really glad I went with the KSM60 model. It's exactly the right amount of volume, power, and countertop flair that I was hoping for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm concerned that the refurb mixer I just purchased doesn't always start spinning when I start it. It eventually starts, just not immediately. Also, when making a sticky bread dough, a lot of flour remained at the bottom.

I don't think this is normal. Is there anything I can do to make it work properly. Or can it be exchanged for a different one?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s living up to its name at this point, maybe the last one was the previous unit a new unit while mixing the mixing head / mixing blade mishap accrued some how damaged the drive gear in the head unit afterwards every time the mixer was used it produced a grinding sound with an uneven clunking sound when operating.Idid not purchase a warranty So on this unit I have and after a month all is well and the ice cream maker is wonderful. Ps I still have that old unit hopefully about a repair dulotion

Shocked! Can’t believe it was refurbished. It looks and works like a brand new KitchenAid. WOW! I own a smaller tilt-head and wanted a larger capacity bowl-lift but couldn’t justify the price of a new one. This refurbished 6-quart was perfect for me. Looking forward to many decades with it. Remember to save the box so you can ship it back to KitchenAid for maintenance. I had to order a new box for my tilt-head because I didn’t keep it.

Mine is no exception! I’m an avid baker, especially breads and KitchenAid is always at the top of my list. No matter the batch size, dough consistency or complexity, this mixer does it all! It makes my productivity double and cleaning is always a breeze. Now the fun part, all the possible attachments! I have the meat grinder and cheese and vegetable slicer/Shredder. Both work flawlessly and I can’t wait to add more to my collection. KitchenAid mixers are WAY more than just a mixer. Such a versatile machine and with proper care and maintenance, they last a lifetime. Up until this one, I had inherited my mother’s which she had for 30+ years. These mixers speak for themselves. I couldn’t be happier and I look forward to adding many more appliances to my homestead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Kitchenaide 6 mixer. The first one had to be returned because the bowl did not fit properly. Customer service was great and I received the new one in about a week. However the dough attachment does not mix the dough properly leaving dry flour in the bowl. This is the newer white coated one. When I placed my old stainless steel one on, it worked fine. I gave a three star for these issues. Other than that, I am quite satisfied and have been using a kitchen aie 6 for many years with no issues
