Thanks to KitchenAid I can bake bread again.
Due to a neurodegenerative disease in my left arm and hand I had slowly lost the ability to manually mix bread dough that I'd been preparing for years. I finally purchased the Artisan 5 Quart Stand Mixer and the smell of fresh baked bread is back in my home again. For many people the Stand Mixer is a convenience, for people like me it is a way to continue the joy of baking.

Save time in the kitchen
These things are fantastic. My girlfriend was just using a hand blender but after watching her spend over 20 minutes trying to just get soft peaks on a recipe that required whole eggs and then not to mention all the additional time with the blending of the other ingredients, I had enough. She was spending way too much time just trying to make something that would be easily done with this stand mixer and it would turn out better too. With the hand mixer it must have been close to an hr for her to finish everything and the eggs never really formed peaks. With this it was easily less than half the time and it came out great. Money well spent!

It is a beautiful part of the kitchen, I used it today to whip honey and freeze dried coffee. It worked spectacularly. Hands down a gorgeous stand mixer.

We ordered this mixer to replace my Mom's 20+ year old Kitchen Aid 4.5 qt stand mixer. Mom was skeptical about getting a refurbished one but the discount made it worth a try. So far it is performing well with no issues. Another plus is that the 4.5 qt bowl and all the attachments fit as well.

WONDERFUL MACHINE!!
This is my first KitchenAid stand mixer. I bake very often and this has allowed me to bake so much more with great ease and enjoyment. Additionally, I can make a much wider variety of baked goods, pastas, and homemade dishes with the extra attachments. It’s a powerhorse of a machine! I should have bought one years ago!

I purchased this mixer because all of the “machines’ I purchased previously did a poor job. They either leaked, were poorly made or overheated, which caused me to stop while it cooled down. The tomato extractor attachment worked flawlessly, multiple times so far. The Kitchenaid blender did not leak or overheat. No jamming happened and it made the process easier than normal. I am very pleased!

I ordered the refurbished 5 qt artisan tilt head in porcelain to replace my 1989 kitchen aid . The mixer arrived promptly in mint condition . It suits my needs perfectly with the larger 5 qt bowl yet it takes up no more counter space . The porcelain color is a soft warm white and looks great in my kitchen . It works great and looks great !

Save Some Money
For all intents and purposes, this refurbished model is exactly what I wanted. I’m a cook, not a baker and didn’t want to spend for new, especially at 74! I will say, my chocolate chip cookies were quite edible. The chopper attachment will grate Parmesan easily. I’m especially interested in the pasta set and will use it soon.
