The conditioner for pretty much anyone. It's weightless, softening and it rinses clean. This can be used daily and will not cause build up.
This is meant to soften and smooth the parts of the hair your natural oils can't reach! How to: 1. After shampooing & rinsing, depending on the thickness of your hair, squeeze a dime to quarter-sized amount, into your palm. 2. On wet hair, apply from the bottom and work your way to the top, skipping the last inch or two near the root. 4. Wait 3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Tip: Not rinsing conditioner thoroughly can cause build up. Get in there, girl.

This condition is pretty awful. First of all, I feel like I have to use a very large amount of product to feel like my hair is actually getting conditioned, and in the end it makes my hair super frizzy. I really don't recommend this.
This has been a nightmare of a product. For the month that I have been using it my scalp slowly has been feely waxy. This product has left my naturally soft hair feeling waxy and flat. I cannot wait to get back to a different shampoo. I have never written a negative review but I am not a fan of this product and what it has done to my hair.
I have wavy/curly hair which tends to be frizzy. This combo of this conditioner with the matching shampoo has made my hair smooth and helped to define my waves and curls! My holy grail for sure. Also, if you follow the Curly Girl method and plug the ingredients into the online checker, it will say this is not approved, but after looking at the individual silicones, they are all water-soluble and A-OK! There is Isopropyl Alcohol at the very bottom of the ingredients, which could dry out your hair if you're prone to that. I've been using this for several weeks, and my hair has never felt better.
It worked good for a week. Then my hair became really flat and dry. I already have long straight hair and with it being so flat it made it feel very heavy and weighed down which never happened with my other shampoo and conditioners. Not only that it dried out my scalp and made my ends really dry and tangled all the time. If you have long hair I would not recommend this product but if you have short hair it might work out better for you.

I have very wavy hair nearly to my waist that is very dry (bc of a medicine I take). The Kristen Ess brand has proved to make my hair look as good or better than the brands that were 3x as expensive. I’ve discovered that, in a pinch, I can go without the shampoo (use a lesser brand of shampoo) and just use the Kristen Ess conditioner plus leave in conditioner. The addition of the leave in conditioner is key. I really have to use both together.
I did just have my hair stripped, though (actually not on purpose), and the shampoo might be pulling some of the color out. I can’t tell. I didn’t have this problem when my hair was colored as I normally like it to be dyed—with a semi-permanent darker color plus just a tiny bit of foil highlights.
At any rate, if you have unmanageable frizz and longer hair, I do recommend the shampoo+conditioner+leave in conditioner. I tried a bunch of their other stuff and it wasn’t that great for my long frizzy hair.
As for the smell, I’m totally confused by those people saying it’s overwhelming. I have this thing whereby I will literally pass out if from strong chemical smells, and I think smells are overpowering when everyone else can barely smell them. Herbal Essences and anything from Yankee Candle will give me an asthma attack if I’m in the same room with their products. If I think this has a light scent, I’m shocked that anyone else thinks it has a heavy scent. Plus I have so much hair that you would think that if anyone would have to deal with a lingering smell, it would be me. I don’t want to accuse anyone of lying, of course, but check the scent for yourself. Twist the top off in the store.
I have been using this conditioner and the matching shampoo for about a year, and I love it! It makes my hair feel so soft and silky, but not weighed down. I have medium thickness strands but a LOT of them. I usually wash my hair every other day. I like to put in my conditioner and then wash my face and body, that way it has some time to sink in, but even when I don't do that it still is wonderful!
