Keep it together! This is my dream cream for waves and curls. This cream isn’t about hold, it’s about adding subtle weight and shine to give curls more definition.
How to:
Prep: Use a wide tooth comb or brush to detangle when in the shower.
1. Use a micro-fiber towel or t-shirt to dry your hair with less frizz.
2. Apply curl cream evenly from root to tip.
3. Coil or twist hair to encourage the natural curl pattern.
4. Air dry or diffuse on medium heat if you want more volume.
Tip: Use a little water or leave-in conditioner to refresh Curl Cream on non-wash days.

A: Hello! Thank you for your question! Yes, you can use the Ultra Light Curl Cream and Instant Lift Volumizing Mousse togther. After shampooing and conditioning, towel dry your hair and apply Ultra Light Curl Cream first to define your curls, then add Instant Lift Volumizing Mousse and dry hair with a diffuser to give your hair volume and hold. Instant Lift Volumizing Mousse works best when blow dried styled to add volume. Hope this helps!

Too thick, sticky and tacky. Definitely not for finer curly hair. I used a little one day, more one day, it made no difference and my hair looked worse than not putting anything in it. It felt and looked like I put Elmer’s glue in my hair. Same consistency. Total waste of money and I threw it away but should have requested my money back.

Enhances curls
The Kristin Ess Air Dry Mousse is my new go to hair product. It is a light area. Moose, it applies easily and quickly to the hair. It enhances my curls and prevents frizz. It keeps my hair shiny for the whole day and it keeps the curls for a few days after initial application.

The texture of my hair recently changed to wavy, so this was the first curl defining cream I tried. I gave this the old college try and finished the whole tube. After using it for many months, I can say I know now there just has to be something better out there. It works *okay,* but it doesn’t really do what it’s named for—defining. It also leaves hair feeling slightly greasy and dirty. I think the only positive for me was it helped me be able to brush through my hair for the first time in a long time without many tangles. Will not purchase again.

Great so far
I had been layering mousse and gel and was sturuggling to get the definition I wanted. My hair is FINE and most products weight it sown so I had never tried a cream before. I like this! I raked this cream into very wet hair, used a denman brush to section/clump and then scrunched in kinky curly custard to provide a cast. My curls were smooth and defined with ample volume. I'm confident this product, combined with the custard, would provide a few days of nice looking curls with little refresh. Unfortunatly, I was out in the humidity washday and had a lot of frizz. This product did not help with that but I have yet to fond a product that does so I won't take stars off for that. Side note: I also use the Kristen Ess "The One" shampoo and conditioner and love them.

The smell is amazing. Had a lot of compliments on the way it smells. The quality is lacking though. Hair feels dry and almost crusty. I will try different products in this line bc it smells so nice but Miss J’s pillow soft curls is way better.

Disappointing change in formulation and fragrance.
I used several tubes of this in the years preceding the Covid lockdown, tapered off as I didn’t need to wash my hair as often when working from home; and styling cream made it look dirty faster. My fine (but a lot of it), wavy hair really liked it when applied after a volumizing spray from a higher-end line; and the fragrance was light, warm, and pleasant. I bought a new tube a couple of weeks ago as I’m back to more in-person activities. I can’t find any description nor reviews reflecting that this has clearly been reformulated in the last few years, the texture and fragrance have changed, both in terrible ways. It does nothing for my hair at all except possibly adding to frizz and decreasing shine; and the fragrance now is just terribly strong and perfumey, and it lingers quite a long time. Very disappointed.
