Kryptonite Combination U-Lock - Black

This is a very durable lock. It’s a large lock. It’s a heavyweight lock. You have to line up the correct number combination in order to unlock it. It’s a thick metal. It’s a long lock. It can be used to safely secure items. Very durable!!

This bike lock is great! Very heavy duty and easy to use! My husband is an avid biker and said this is one of his favorite bike locks to use. It will be great to take on our yearly vacation to Mackinac Island and use to secure the bikes in the evening.

The Kryptonite Combination U-Lock is just what we needed to secure my girls bikes while living in an apartment complex. This lock feels super heavy duty, and directions for combination change are simple. Simply enter your 4-digit code, slide the mechanism to the right, and your lock is ready for securing. This product gives us piece of mind and is is very well made.

So the combination part of this lock doesn't work, no matter how many times it what I tried, and even if it did I don't think it would hold up very well. It seems cheaply made and can be knocked unlocked. I wouldn't recommend this even if you're on a budget.

Wow is this ever a heavy duty well built bike lock! I wasn't expecting it to be quite as heavy as it is but it sure holds up well and does exactly as it should. The lock part itself was easy to figure out and I like that it is a number system. I think this would work well for electric bikes as well.

Heavy, solid bike lock that gets the job done. The rotating dust shield is a nice feature to protect the numbers from weather. The instructions were easy to follow and I was able to set my own 4 digit code quickly and easily. Do note that the preset factory code is 0-0-0-5 not all zeros.

This lock is both easy to use and practical. I love how simple the combination component is easy to use to lock up a bike. The hardened steel shackle resistant material gives me comfort in its security and protection. The 4 security level also leaves me at ease with its coverage.

This Kryptonite Combination U-Lock is well made, sturdy and keeps everything secure. It is heavy and has a great design. It's very useful for various security situations and everyone in my family needs one.

It shows step by step directions with pictures. They made it easy to set your own combination. I absolutely love the dust cover. It is easy to put the combination in and slide the open bottom to the right to unlock. It also has directions to reset your combination. Also the direction sheet has a place to register your product and how to do that. My bike is in storage but my son tried the lock at school with his bike and really liked it. I will definitely get another one.

Nothing you do will prevent someone from stealing your bike if they really want to. The best you can do is to give the perception that the process of stealing your bike will be so time consuming or labor intensive that the perpetrator(s) decide someone else's bike is a better investment. This lock goes a long way to help create that perception. Visually and physically the lock itself is stout, with the arm bar being a single piece of steel, coated in a rubber sheath, and the lock portion is also very sturdy. The combination lock eliminates the presence of a keyhole with which someone could rake the tumblers to pick the lock. The arm of the lock is lengthy enough to go around a bike rack bar, your rear and front wheels, sandwiched together, and the bike frame, without an issue. The combination lock spins easily, and you can set the combination to whichever 4-digit code you wish by using the tool included. The built-in rotating dust cover is a very nice touch, intended to help keep dirt and grime out of the combination dials, and your lock working as intended. The lock would be easy enough to install in a frame-mounted carrier when riding, or to be stored in a bag/backpack, if you make use of one. The lock can be used as a self-defense implement, or an anti-car encroachment tool, if such a need were to arise. Be safe out there.

I have yet to use this bike lock, but it seems very sturdy and durable. I think it will do the job just fine of keeping my bicycle safe. I like how the numbers move and how it locks in place. I would recommend.

This is a great sturdy lock. People are not getting through this to get to your bike. It’s easy to use and reliable. I’m happy to have this so I feel safe using my bike in public in the future and leaving it unattended.

This combination lock is large and heavy. We have not had the chance to put it to good use yet. However, it seems to be sturdy and well made, as well as straight forward to use. The packaging includes a picture of a bicycle but there are other ways to use it I'm sure.

This lock is great. Very heavy duty. It is easy to program and its pretty cool that it has a “dust cover” for the numbers so they don’t get rusted, muddy or dirty. It was really easy to program and directions are clear.

A heavy duty bicycle lock! Set up was easy, follow directions and don’t skip a step. This is a heavy lock so I don’t see a kid below age 10 wanting to carry this around to lock his/her bike up. Seems quite sturdy. My husband was impressed. I received this product for free for reviewing.

My first impression of this U-Lock is how heavy it is. It's only about two and a half pounds but it feels very weighty in your hand. This is not the type of lock you would take with you for a casual ride as it's not easy to carry and go with you because of the size and the weight. That said I would trust my bike locked up with this anywhere. I can't imagine this being able to be broken or penetrated by any everyday tools. I like that it has a combination and don't have to worry about carrying a key with you or misplacing the key. The lock works smoothly and easily. We are keeping this in the trunk of our car to always have when we take a bike ride away from home. My only negative is I wish the U part of the metal had a protective silicone, rubber or plastic coating as we have to be super careful with this so it doesn't scratch the paint on our bikes.

This lock is very heavy weight and it feels super sturdy. It is simple enough to use and it feels secure. Not only can this be used to secure your valuables but also would be good for self defense lol
