Q: Why is the bed skirt and the reverse of the comforter not like the one that is shown in the picture? It is totally different.

This is what the description is: The Stone Cottage Lancaster pattern features a multi blue, grey, and brown paisley pattern, and a reversible white, brown and tan stripes on a solid ground. This looks like reverse of the comforter is the same as the bedskirt. If it does not look like the description above, you can return it to the retailer.

Not as nice as pictured

This comforter looks very different in person than it did online. Maybe the manufacturer has changed? The pattern looks muddy and the colors aren't fully inside the paisley outlines. The colors are definitely grey, white, blue, and teal. There is no beige or taupe, which is what it looked like to me online (and as I've seen mentioned in reviews of this product on other websites). My bedroom is beige so this comforter won't work at all for me and I have to return it. I did feel the comforter before returning it and I wouldn't describe it as sateen. It felt just a little nicer/thicker than polyester.

The comforter is soft, generously thick, and a beautiful material!! I look forward to using this for the cold, Northwoods temperatures! My only comment for the bed skirt and pillow shams is that they do wrinkle during laundering, and the sham trim shrinks a bit, but it's a relatively small problem. I would recommend that the shams are instead blocked and hung up to dry.
