This mattress cover is not waterproof. Liquids easily leak through. If you have a child that still wets the bed, do NOT get this brand. The product description and title need to be updated to “water resistant” because any substantial amount of liquid will leak through the cover onto the mattress.

Faulty protector
My child had an accident and it leaked right through onto her brand new mattress. And this wasn't just a little bit, the whole center of the mattress is ruined. I inspected for any obvious tears, but the protector appears to be in good condition. Tested protector with a cup of water and seemed to just leak right through. We have not had this for very long and have followed washing instructions as stated.

I bought this for my son’s bed while he was potty training. It did NOT work. It is absolutely not waterproof. I tested it with water and a napkin just to be sure.
