I agree that this is a great learning toy but the material and overall quality feels a little cheap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loved playing with the hedgehog but it is a toy you need to monitor for the young ones. Lots of pieces can go missing and into mouths. My dog also enjoys chewing the little spikes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved sitting and watching my granddaughter play with this. The colors are bright and help with color recognition, it's made with durable materials, has storage for the quills so none get lost, and helps her to develop better fine motor skills!

The colors were soft toned and not too bright. From parents point of view - loved that it was easy for cleanup and storage as all the spikes fit inside the shell .

I never thought that something so simple would entertain her for so long, she takes care of it like a treasure. Thank you! The plastic is very resistant and very well made, you can use it to store the sticks inside, it is very practical.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not going to lie. I thought this toy looked adorable yet a little boring. But I'm not a two-year-old. My daughter, an actual two-year-old, LOVED this toy. She was excited the second I took it out of the box and immediately started to play with it with no help at her table. The quills are simple for her to grasp and insert in the hedgehog's body. The hedgehog has storage to hold the quills, but she likes to leave them inserted on the top. While the toy as is was interesting enough for her, what I loved was the booklet that is included that lists different "games" you can play using the toy. This includes color games, counting games, and number games. While my daughter is just on the cusp of learning these things, I'm excited to utilize the toy for these activities in the future. We received this toy over two weeks ago, and she has played with it for at least a few minutes each day. With an active toddler's attention span, I call that a win! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super cute toy. It's attention grabbing for the babies. They immediately know what the purpose is. They go for the spikes and put them back in. To make it educational I ask them to select a specific color at a time. It's very entertaining. Babies zone out trying to get them back it. Love the storage of the spikes for when I put it away in the toy bin. Overall a very entertaining and cute toy. Nothing like it in our collection

My daughter loves sorting the quills by color, counting, and making different patterns on the hedgehog's back. She is 2 and a half and I was worried she wouldn't find it interesting, but I feel like she's the perfect age for it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were given spike in exchange for an honest review, and immediately upon opening spike my son took an interest, he was quickly able to figure out how to hold the spikes and how to put them into the hedgehog, And as he's played with it more and more each day he's getting better at the fine motor skills necessary to properly place the spikes! I was actually surprised at how much he loved it, It keeps his interest, I feel part of that is that it's not too difficult for him so he doesn't get frustrated and give up.. it's the perfect amount of challenge to make it fun for him, And it gives him a sense of accomplishment when he gets all of the spikes in! He even carries around the house It's so cute 😆 It says 18 months and up, My son is 15 months old and he loves it! He's not quite ready for the more challenging aspects of it such as color coordinating and number placements.. But it's awesome it gives him a chance to grow into it!

The bright colors immediately caught his attention, and while he's a bit too young for the suggested learning activities, he had a great time just putting the quills in and taking them out. It's a great way to build fine motor skills and keep him engaged. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the quills are made of very thin, hollow plastic, and my son was able to bend them easily. A sturdier design would make this toy perfect.

My 11 month granddaughter loved this toy. It's great quality, the pegs store inside the body (love that!) We gave it to her for Christmas and this will be one of her favorite toys!
