Christmas gift
Wanted an engineering gift for my 3yr old granddaughter to correspond with the other 3 engineering gifts for the grandsons. Seems ideal, easy to manage components, imaginative but challenging. Gave 4 stars as it's a Christmas gift and not received as yet

This is hard!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank goodness for the cards. I received this as a incentive gift for review item and was excited to use it with my students as best we could in the classroom. At first, I was unsure where to put the stickers that come with the kit. I just put them anywhere on the items in the tree house kit. Then I gave the pieces to the kids and asked them to make a tress house, this was probably the easiest part, when I started adding the task cards it became more difficult. Being STEM items it was great for making the group think and have to work together, but it was not easy if there were not solution ideas on the back. This might have been better for an older group of kiddos.

This is a wonderful product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, the product was sturdy, easy to use, and easily cleaned. The instructions were easy to read and follow. The only challenge was placing the stickers on the pieces. The toy was very well made and extremely colorful. It caught students and my attention. Children enjoyed using the toy and it was great for problem solving and discussions inside the classroom. There are many educational and fun uses for this toy. I would recommend this to anyone, not just teachers! I received this product as part of an incentive review program.

Who doesn't love Tree Houses?
Boy, what fun our 7 year old had with the Tree House Engineering & Design Building Set! From the moment he opened the box, he went right to work replicating some of the models shown. Once he had mastered that, he moved on to designing a more extensive tree house of his own creation. He is not one given to long attention spans, but this activity was definitely the exception. He stayed engaged and active for long periods of time. He's now ready to tackle the real tree house they are planning for their backyard. Totally recommend this building set!

Treehouse Engineering Set is a HUGE HIT
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son completely independently tore into this amazing early engineering toy, laid out all of the pieces, and began constructing immediately. He was so sad when we had to pause for dinner! It's great to see kids so engaged with something like that. I would recommend this to both parents and educators alike. *Note: I received this product for consumer review, but my opinions were not at all influenced by Learning Resources.

Fun early engineering set!
When we received this set, my oldest (9 y/o) immediately opened it and started to look through the pieces. They're brightly colored and plastic, and seem to be quite sturdy, though time will tell. Some of the areas where pieces attach seem quite thin, and perhaps not as strong. For now, my oldest children have played several times, and the pieces have been able to withstand normal use. When my son looked through the box, he found 5 challenge cards, and immediately designed a tree village, as was suggested on one of the cards. It was a quick design and build for him, but he enjoyed building with the pieces in this set, as they're different than what he's used to using. I think he would appreciate the challenge of having additional sets to use together to create more elaborate designs. My 7 y/o also designed a tree house based on one of the activity cards, and my 5 y/o was able to do the same. They each enjoyed the process of designing and creating their houses, and my 5 y/o played with her creation for quite awhile. While the kit includes a plastic figure that can be used with the child's creation, my children prefer small figures they already have on hand when playing (imaginative, role playing type of play). I look forward to using the included planning sheet with activities in the future to help my children problem solve while engineering and designing another house or building. Overall, this is a great early engineering set that can be used in many ways and apparently with other sets, as well. For what it's worth, even my 2 y/o, who cannot design anything yet, helped out by putting on stickers and attaching some of the pieces - it's good for working on fine motor skills for him! I would recommend this kit for younger children who are interested in building and designing, and problem solving! I received this item as part of an incentivized review program in exchange for an honest review.

STEM and tree house-way to go!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great for the student that likes to build and think of a solution. I was impressed at the way each child approached the Engineering Process. I love that each child tried and did not become frustrated-it was a fun task for them to think and design. I would like to see the gears be interchangeable with the gear set.

Fun & Educational
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product through a toy review program, and am really glad I did! My 6 year old daughter loves it, and it offers a high level of creative play while teaching skills like following build directions, problem solving and looking for multiple solutions. The first time she used it, she needed help with the directions, but after figuring out how the different pieces interact with each other, she was able to build on her own. The cards with different ideas are great, and very helpful in getting started. The product is well made, and can withstand little hands putting the pieces together. I would highly recommend this toy, and for the intended age range of 5-7.

Education and Creativity in One!
I am an elementary art and STEM teacher. I received this product as part of an incentivised review program. I find that this toy is exactly like it shows on the box. The engineering guide cards in the box are great to present challenges to studnets or children if they are not just free designing. In this kit, kids are learning engineering by building different tree houses. And what kid doesnt love tree houses or forts? What is great about this kit is it can be used along with any of the other engineering and design kits. I allow my students to mix and match activity kits and build beyond the suggestions in the activity cards. There is lots of room for creativity.
