Easy to assemble. Light is terrific for crafts and sewing!

The assembly of this light is not easy or straightforward - and the connections are the worst. Especially trying to get the tubing secured to the base. I finally got the lamp assembled, however, the odd and confusing connection between the last tube and the gooseneck / light section still isn’t secure or aligned - in total, the whole thing looks crooked and gapped. Really poor engineering / design for such an expensive light. The light itself is bright - but have no use for the dimmer - would have sufficed to have just a couple easy to set levels. Plus, the touch switch isn’t easy to find quickly - purely a visual reference, no tactile design, and you sometimes have to fiddle with the touch to get the brightness you want. 71” height is misleading - measure at 71” only when the lamp portion is vertical. Overall dissatisfied with this item - so many weaknesses and design flaws in one product - expected more from Ottlite for my money.

This is a great light for a sewing room. The light is perfect - has no glare and is easy to adjust.

Nice Lamp, on/off button hard to find in the dark. Kind of pricey but white colored version is nice looking.

2yrs ago , it has begun to only light up to a dim light. When checking how to replace bulb found out it is not replaceable! So disappointed! Now only option is to throw away, totally a waste of money.

I bought this 2 years ago and used it on a less-than-average basis (only about 1x a week for a few hours), and it recently stopped working! I have several other OttLites that have lasted far longer, with conventional bulbs. I would expect the LED to outlast them, but that was not the case.

This provides a lot of light that helps to see your work in detail with accurate color. It is very bright, so we usually have to dim it a little, but it provides plenty of light. The only negative is that while the dimming feature is nice to have, you have to hold the button until the light hits the brightness you want, which can be a little inconvenient. Still, that's a minor issue.

If you can get this lamp to come on, it’s great. The flexible neck works well, the adjustability to put the light where you need it is great for crafts and projects. However, that capacitive touch button for turning the light on doesn’t always works. Had this light for a little over a year and I struggle to get the light to come on. It’s annoying. The few times I’ve used the dimming feature is not worth the light never coming on. It’s an expensive product with a huge weakness.

My legally blind sister needed bright lighting to read with the new lenses she has - Your light is excellent for that

I've just purchased my fourth Ott Lite. My first was purchased at the suggestion of my opthalmologist and I don't know what I'd do without them.Thank you!!!!

Light output great, however don't like the on off switch or the fact the connection moves too easily. This causes the head of the light to almost fall off when trying to adjust direction of light.

This is my first floor lamp. There are several things that need to be addressed. I was attracted to this lamp because the description says "Adjustable: Adjust the height from 49" to 71" to suit your spatial needs." Sounds like you can adjust the pole height. That needs to be explained better - they are talking about how far down or up you can flex the gooseneck assembly so that your lamp is either 49" flexed down or 71" straight up. Next, I agree with another reviewer that the pole does not sit straight in the base. I ended up laying the pole flat on another surface and then holding the base with one hand perpendicular to the pole and attaching the bolt with the other hand. My last issue is with the on/off/dimmer switch. It is too sensitive between on, off and dimming. I would have preferred touching some part of either the top pole or the shade or, better yet, a separate switch.

This is my 2nd Ott light. I fine both of them very good. I am a knitter and my age requires good lightening to see what I am doing. They meet my needs!

I love every feature on this lamp; it’s sleek and unobtrusive, easy to use, and most importantly gives me perfect lighting to cross stitch on 40 count linen. Extremely pleased!

It gives really good light. It is very easy to turn on and off. I am really glad I got this.
