Super cool set! Got it for my bf as a gift. He hasn’t put it together yet but we looked through the book and it looks really fun. Apparently they make light kits and rc kits for it so he’s planning to turn it into an rc car. Highly recommend for any car or rc car enthusiasts.

Overall a fun build. I enjoy seeing how it all comes together. The biggest downside was the switching between the off-road to the suburban and back. The 2x1 studs that hold the roll cage on kept popping off when even sightly touching it. If you add anything to the roof rack, the 2x1 studs will come off. The opposite is true when removing the sloped pieces from the suburban mode. Lego is a victim of its tight tolerances. The sloped 2x1's have no way of being removed without removing something else. Other than that, it is a fun build.

I grew up in a short wheel base Landie. There is something so attractive about the 90 inch wheel base. This kit was a delight to build (about 5 hours enjoying it and taking it at a moderate pace). The use of small parts, 1x2|3|4 flat, 2x2 corner cutout flat etc gave it strength with a lot of detail along the way. I ended up having it mid-configuration as my family's was. It's now permanently traversing my printer showing off the great suspension. Two options mean I need to buy a second to have both side-by-side. Yeah, the kit is that good.

It's never fun when the wheels don't turn as they should. From what you’ve described, it's possible a little rebuilding might be in order. Making sure that each part is in the exact position shown in the instructions and everything’s pressed together tightly could help (except the gears, which need some extra room to turn). For such an awesome vehicle, this was a bit of a let down. The front grill guard falls off easily, the back door also is not very well connected. Also there may be too many variations of this vehicle. Maybe stick to the off road version and therefore there are not so many extra pieces. The steering is wonky.

No embarrassment needed by adults for playing with this lego set. A tremendously enjoyable and rewarding experience is gained by building this high quality faithful reproduction of the Land Rover 90. Complete with a beautifully illustrated build manual the set comprises 15 build bags each of which is opened to complete one stage of your build. I used the LEGO Builder app. on my tablet to allow me to keep my paper manual in pristine condition. Each build step is completed by following the corresponding build chapter in the manual and your Land Rover begins to grow. After many hours of enjoyable building you are rewarded with an excellent quality highly detailed model for display. in your home/office.

Fun build. I am amazed with Lego ingenuity. it seems that a different style of building comes with each set. the land rover was challenging and a pleasure to build. the results look like an old national geographic photo. a very nice display piece!
