Reviving the LOTR Theme was a brilliant idea, and this set is proof as to why. The minifigures are excellent (we get a new Gondorian sword and shield for Boromir, as well as important characters like Arwen). My only complaint is that we didn't get Boromir's "Horn of Gondor" as well, but that is really minor and not enough for me to really take issue with.
I haven't put this one together yet but can't wait

As someone who isn’t deep into Tolkien lore, I was still blown away by the build. With over 6,000 pieces, it’s a big, immersive project that stays engaging throughout. The architecture is stunning, with elegant curves, lush landscaping, and great use of color. It looks more like a high-end model than a typical LEGO set. The 15 included minifigures are well-designed, even if you don’t recognize them all. It’s definitely a premium-priced set, but the quality and display value make it feel worth it.
It’s just that good

This set is everything I wanted it to be and more. Lego is very overpriced in general, particularly in the current world, but this is about as good value a set can be. If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, then this is a must have if you can afford it. Definitely worth the extra over Barad Dur or the Shire in my opinion

I finally got to build this set, and I have to say, this is the best lego set I ever built. From start to finish. Ingenuity written all over it, every single corner is ridden with detail and beauty. Absolutely incredible, I have to thank You for this build experience. Here's hoping there's more where it came from. 100% recommend
One of the best, if not THE best

No amount of viewing this set in videos or pictures really does it justice. It’s beautiful. The amount of detail in all aspects of this set is really quite astonishing. The printed tiles are gorgeous and they give you a generous amount of them in this set. The minifig line up goes above and beyond for this set. What could possibly be a more iconic scene for Lord of the Rings than the formation of the fellowship. It contains the most iconic characters of the entire saga, and they’re all very detailed. For me it is literally a perfect Lego set. This one will go down as one of the greatest Lego sets ever created…. Easily

Absolutely Brilliant! Lego has truly astonished us all, with this prolific creation. The price may have to be paid by a noble of Moria or Erebor. Although, perfection has no common equal. I do hope, Lego continues these exquisite builds for many years to come. Perhaps i can give a few enticing plighted notions forth myself. 1) Gondolin 2)Erebor 3) Osgiliath 4)Edoras 5)Minis Tirith 6)Minis Morgul 7)The Dead Marshes 8)Moria 9)Mount Doom 10)Grey Havens Quality and compromise is key as well. Thank again Lego and keep building with quality and deepest respect for J.R.R.Tolkiens Creations. As a builder and collector, more figures and grander sets are what Nostalgic generations will pass on. Great in a private Library and with other builds as well!
Set of my dreams!

I've built and own a lot of Lego sets and this one is the icing on the cake. I'm not even done building it but I love it already. The design, architecture, every little detail, the colors, just everything is an absolute delight. Well worth the price in my opinion.

Frankly I'm afraid to open and build this. It has sat in my cart since release and with the rumor of its retirement this year, I sold old sets to buy this when it went on double points. I have seen an absolutely gorgeous expansion with a mountain base of this set. Until I decide if I'm building that (which requires 2 rivendell sets plus about 3k extra pieces) and a permanent case and location to put it, this beautiful sit will sit factory sealed, proudly displayed where I see it every day.

This is such a beautiful and intricate design. You can tell the lego engineers who created this design are LOTR fans because there's a lot of love in all the small details. Highly recommend this set

THIS is the LEGO set that got me back into LEGO since I was a small child. It is absolutely AMAZING to look at. I'm a Lord of the Rings fan before anything else so it was a no-brainer to get this set. All the details are so beautiful and it's awesome to see all the pieces come together to recreate the beautiful and iconic scenes. The only pains are those dang roof tiles!! But it's worth it for the end result. Truly, truly stunning.

Not simply the best Lord of the Rings Lego set ever made but in my opinion the best Lego set ever made. If I could only buy and own one Lego set this would be it. A gorgeous set that is a pleasure to build and even better to behold. It truly captures the essence of Rivendell in all its glory. It also includes 21 minifigures with the entire Fellowship represented.

This set is amazing. I love the council of Elrond and how it is detachable. There are a couple downsides to this set though. I was missing a piece thankfully it was just one of the floor tiles so I could move on while I waited for it to ship though I still think I accidentally lost it.
The most beautiful set Lego has ever made!

Lego really did well with this one. As a huge Lord of the Rings fan, I was thrilled that they were bringing Lord of the Rings back! The attention to detail on the build is amazing! The minifigure selection is perfect too. I would have liked to see a more detailed variety of hair pieces on the minifigures like we see in the old Lord of the Rings sets. Other then that small complaint, Lego really has out done themselves!

Whether you are a fan of Lord of the Rings or just building LEGO in general this is the perfect LEGO set. As a Lord of the Rings fan, the attention to detail is incredible, creating a beautiful accent piece for my living room. As a LEGO fan the build was never boring. The designers building techniques are very creative and make for an exciting build bag after bag. On top of this you get a great variety of mini-figures including the fellowship and some additional elves and dwarves. While a bit pricier, I think the end result is well worth the price - making it one of the best LEGO sets I have ever built.
Great set but the price is ridiculous…

Lego has to get it together. The price of the sets is ridiculous. Who is buying this ? It’s plastic with some licensing fees. Everyone should stop buying until they lower their prices. Ridiculous.
