The screen is supposed to turn. It does not. There are steps in the book missing, which makes it difficult in some parts. Overall I wish I hadn’t gotten this one. I have over 200 sets so I am not an amateur. This is the only set I have ever wished I didn’t get. Please understand legos are my life!!

That doesn't sound right! Please get in touch with our experts at LEGO.build/Service-BV so we can take a closer look and help out with any pesky steps. You can also find a complete PDF version of the instructions at LEGO.build/BI-BV.

Excellent and engaging build. Outstanding functional assemblies, all work as they are supposed. Bag number 10 had a missing gear Z24. The last bag number 21 had also a Z24 gear, so I used it to replace the missing z24 from bag 10 to be able to continue the build. Since bag 21 was the last one I was able to build 99.9% of the whole kit. Requested a replacement but it is not coming any time soon. You create great builds, and they are great fun to do as long as all the parts are in. But, if any are missing then all bets are off. Still you provide great products.

Just like the actual Nintendo. Brings back memories. Grandson helped me build this. He got a big kick out the "old" console, especially taking the game cartridge in and out.

When my kids were young we would play Nintendo. This brought back a lot of memories. It is a little hard to complete but the working screen is worth it. I really enjoyed putting it together and I think anyone who loves Nintendo will too.

This was one of the more exciting builds I've completed. Got my first battle wound, but I persevered and finished an awesome set! One thing I would have loved to have as an addition would be a set of RCA cables. Both the TV and the NES box have the red/yellow jacks, so a tube (like the controller cable) that connects the NES to the TV would just make the set that much better!!

As a kid my dad gave me his nes and I fell in love with video games sense. I have also been building with legos at the time to and growing up with both and now hearing bout this set when it was first announced a few years ago I just had to get it unfortunately I missed the first release and was bummed then the release came out so I was finally able to get it after hearing this is gonna be discontinued and I love the attention too detail from the different ports to the printed tiles it's like a 1:1 to the original but with the bottom being solid the a b buttens are a bit bigger the fact I can't flick the ch. Switch (with are not labeled on the Lego model) or push in the power button are but a few differences the henge and cartridge try are like I'm putting in a real cartridge and pushing it down like its the real thang the only thang id add to it is a tiny red power light witch it has room for a light mod the scrolling tv screen with the Mario world 1-1 looks amazing withn him jumping up and down as the back geound scrolls and just like rhe real game only scrolls in one direction I love how the tv has the back detels like the ports and info sticker and clicks whrn you turnnthe dials

This was such a fun build. Each new piece was not highlighted in the image so that adds a level of difficulty. When purchasing I didn't even know that the screen moved, it is very cool! The whole family loves this one.

It was a cold fall evening...all through the house was quiet. All you could hear from the basement was a loud crank...going on and on. When little miss K got to the basement to see what the loud cranking noise was. She was shocked to see her husband...sitting there at the table...turning the crank aggressively non stop...that's when she knew he had found his new favorite toy

Creative part usage and building techniques made this one of the most enjoyable building experiences I’ve had. Visually, the set is one of the most accurate representations of its subject that Lego has produced. The NES was my first ever video game system. This set gave me the opportunity to hold the same controller and insert the game cartridge into the console for the first time in 30 years. It brought me right back to when I was a kid. Thank you Lego!

I grew up playing on a NES and this build bought back so many childhood memories! The console and controller are just like the original I grew up with! I also love the fact that it's interactive withe the cartridge actually going into the console and the screen moving. I highly rate this set for any gen x that grew up playing on a Nintendo
