This is a great set for Nintendo fans, retro game/console enthusiasts, builders and anyone looking to have their patience tested by small pieces! The build was challenging enough to be fun and keep me from getting to stressed out, however just as a warning to people like myself who can get easily frustrated with small parts, there are MANY 1X1 elements to be placed. The only real concern I had with this build was the scrolling carousel for the television screen. It seems sluggish and likes to bind up repeatedly. Once there is a steady pace, this isn't as prevalent though is still present. The attention to detail is superb. The printed elements are true to the original and the small touches like A/V ports, the AC adaptor port and channel select were great details to see. Also the little easter egg is on point. Would love to see more builds like this or even additional game cartridges and backgrounds to change up the display.

If you remember this system as a kid then this is a must buy! The build was very enjoyable and was a treat for my own kids to play with.

It was a challenge and distraction for my 6 year old (who is way capable with legos and yes I know this is +18 ages). It looks just like the retro system. The Nintendo is loadable with a LEGO game card, the tv has a conveyor belt like system that makes the screen scene change. Adorable.

This has been a great build except in almost 100 sets between me and my boyfriend this is the first set i've ever had missing a piece. Lego has been great though and is sending it right out.

Superb NES and TV display collectible complete with a working diorama mechanism (a bit clonky, though…) of an SM level, a controller and a game pack. The console even features a hidden SM level easter egg…

This is a really cool set, but unfortunately the mechanism in the console doesn’t work very well. It worked a few times before pieces inside popped off. I have reassembled the entire thing twice but the internal part gets stuck whenever I try to put in or take out the game. Not sure it’s worth the money.
So fun!

Lego designers always push themselves to do better, to go beyond the normal, to amaze their customers. This Nintendo build is a great example of this. Not only is it an accurate representation of an actual NES from the 1980s, but Mario moves across the TV screen. I am impressed with how smoothly this works. The quality control and testing that went into the side scrolling action on the TV and mechanism for inserting the game cartridge is amazing. Good job, Lego!
So cool

My husband enjoyed this build. He completed the Nintendo over a couple of evenings after work. Memories of being a teenager flooded back and we felt like we were back in the 90’s. Would have liked a Mario mini figure included in the price.
An incredibly fun build

Of all the Lego sets I own, this was probably the most fun I’ve ever had building a set. It employs some really clever techniques, and the final product is simply stunning. I would recommend this set to anyone who is considering it.

A real fun build. A lot of great detail. Brings back memories playing Super Mario when I was a kid. A couple things that would have made this better would have been a second controller and the power/and reset buttons that would actually push in.

The build was really fun with a lot of interesting building techniques. The nostalgia of combining an old TV, the first video game I ever played, and Lego (which I played with a lot as a kid) made this even more enjoyable.
