There were 4 HDMI IN spots and 1 optical OUT spot. The optical spot was the only spot for external speakers. This was very disapointing. Now I can only listen to the TV speakers. To any LG cusotmers, if you have wired speakers DON'T buy an LG TV.

    I’m still liking it (a lot) after a month has passed! If I had to quibble I would say the reflectivity of the screen on the QNED85 is slightly higher than the UH700 it replaced. The QNED85 offers plenty of brightness (too much, almost) with crystal clear picture quality. I wish TV manufacturers would include a photo sensor to control the brightness according to room lighting. The series 85 has some AI processing to control brightness based on content, but room lighting would be better. The wide/narrow leg placement meant the ne TV could sit on the same cabinet as the old 55” - a BIG added plus!

Otherwise the TV picture is clear and the sound is great. It is a nice TV; fits our room well. Haven't used it much for other than DirecTV.

    I've read really good things about the TV, so I'm hesitant to give it a one star. But LG didn't put the narrow stand fittings on the 55" so I can't fit it on my center cabinet. Thus, I haven't been able to use the TV at all. My cabinet is 40" wide, that is NOT small! This TV was marketed to have the two options for the base stands, I wouldn't have thought getting a different size would "price me out of that option." Be better than this LG, I'm a longtime fan but not today.
