Tv does not work brand new

I bought the tv from target and immediately set it up when I got home. Batteries in the remote were dead so I had to buy new ones. I spent 40 minutes to try to connect it to the internet. I’m 100% I put in the right password but would not work no matter what. Turns out it’s a common problem and this tv never lasts more than a year, I just got unlucky and it would never work. The tv also will never get anywhere if you can’t connect to the internet. I just wanted to use it for my xbox but there is no possible way to get it to switch without connecting it to the internet. Don’t buy and save yourself a lot of disappointment.

Got a pretty good price on this TV when I moved in August of 2022. It’s now January of 2025 and all of a sudden the backlight died!! My screen is black and I can only hear the sound🙃 Just save up to buy a television from a proper tech brand (I’m looking at Samsung). These Roku TVs are cheap and do NOT last.

These reviews are bought and paid for, they are not real. I would not trust them. If you read through them almost all of them thank a specific person for helping them which is absolutely not normal for any review. Even those that call customer service, very rarely do people actually remember a name and include it in the review. Let alone know how to spell it when the name is something like Lems or Cel. Both of which are used multiple times. Pretty bad that Samsung is paying for their reviews. They have no other choice since it’s the only way they will get good reviews. So not ok. This tv, like all of the others now isn’t worth it. Problems with connection and apps. Setup takes extensive amount of time. Unfortunate that any tv you buy now you shouldn’t expect to last more that 18 months to a year. Expecting any longer is a thing of the past. There isn’t a brand that is great any longer. Best to find one that has a user interface you are comfortable with and stick with that one. Longevity and quality wise, they are all basically the same. Though Samsung is the only one I’ve seen buying blatantly obvious fake reviews. If you are going to buy fake reviews, at least pony up the cash to get something that comes across as real.

Target customer service failed us

Not a review of the product but more so on Target. We ordered this on Black Friday using discounts and offers. Target sent us a completely different TV (different brand) and we spent 5+ hours on the phone and in store to just simply return it and then had to re-order and wait again for the replacement. Was a complete nightmare and the absolute worst experience ever with no compassion or true help from Target. Only ordered online because I cannot fit the item in my car. I advise you to buy in store if you can.
