Not the same product.
I noticed a change in your solid pack pumpkin during Covid. I figured as everything else that was affected during that time your product suffered. Well it's been years and the product is listed as puree not solid pack. It's thin and makes a pie that's more of a custard. I have added flour or cornstarch to my pies with no luck in getting a firmer filling. Not sure what to do. I've always used Libbys. I'm not so sure I believe the story of it possibly being frozen along the way. That was never the case for the past 60 years I've used it and the many years before that my mother used it. Well it's been many years

Disappointed
I got this for making pumpkin pudding. Very sandy. Couldn’t eat.

Gritty
My first time using commercial canned pumpkin for pies (after 50+ years of baking). I bought the large can of Libby’s pumpkin, and baked two pies. We realized it must be the pumpkin, which is very gritty—sand? glass? something else? (shudder). Our collie enjoyed a marvelous and memorable Thanksgiving…and two-three days later, he’ll still be eating pie—

Libby's is #1
Classic. Can’t go wrong with Libby’s. Plus the recipe on the back is the best one to follow.

Gritty
It is so gritty! Didn't use any spices and the label is saying it is 100% pumpkin. Did it for my kid, but can't even eat myself.

I purchased two cans of the pumpkin purée. One of the cans has a large dent and is not safe to open. I am contacting the manager at the location for an even exchange.

Please don't be an idiot
After reading some of these reviews, I have realized the United States education system has failed most of us. Or its possible there is a extraordinary lack of common sense within the country. "the can only has a recipe for 1 pie, but there was enough for two pies" Now it "libby's fault" for ruined pies... common sense would tell you a giant can of pumpkin could be used for more than one pie....The recipe more than likely has the ounces(or "oz" for the slower crowd) needed for the one pie. So, if you have DOUBLE the pumpkin needed, this is where common sense comes in.... not to mention there is a small can, and a big can when you go to the store. What should that tell you? if you ruined a pumpkin pie, you should just hire someone to bake it for you as it is one of the easiest pies to make...Rather than make a bad review on a good company, try self-reflection and practice on your baking abilities..

Want 8-ounce cans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish you produced 8-ounce cans, if only in the fall. I'd found them years ago, but I've learned that you no longer make them.

Libby's pumpkin turns out consistently great pumpkin pies year after year. Only takes minutes to add all the ingredients to make a delicious pie.

So sad! My cans are gritty too! Spent hours making multiple batches of mini pumpkin muffins, only to have grit in every muffin! 😭 I didn't even know this was a thing and now I see it's been going on for years?! What to do?! What brand can I trust?

Versatile and gluten free
I made some gluten free pumpkin spice donuts with this. Really helps give it moisture and packs a lot of flavor. So many recipes to try and great for people who are gluten free. Can’t go wrong!

Loving Libby's Pumpkin forever
I always buy Libby's so my recipes always come out. I have expanded the family pumpkin use from 2 holiday pie to using it in bread, muffins, cakes and more. It always performs and makes my food taste delicious. This was on my Grandmother's list for every Thanksgiving and Christmas. Mom's too. What year they started is anyone's guess, 1959 maybe. I know it has been mine since 1979.

Not just for pies
When I think pumpkin, I think pies. Little did I know that there is a whole world of pumpkin stuff to make. Pumpkin chili and pumpkin pasta. Who knew? Lots of yummy in various forms.
