Q: Does this come with the rubber red handle?

A: I purchased this online and picked it up today (1/13/2021) in store and yes it came with the “silicone handle holder”. It’s even printed on the packaging that it is included.

If it's not supposed to anymore, then the description needs to be changed. I believe they used to, if they don't now. The problem is, I've seen these missing from skillets in store, either due to being misplaced, or stolen. Probably should go look in person, or have it shipped.

A: yes, pick the cookware up, do not slide across the stove top. Always start on low heat and slowly work up temperature for even heating.

A: Lodge seasoned cookware does not contain any plastic or non-stick coating. Our cookware is seasoned with a highly refined vegetable oil that has been baked at high temperatures to leave a carbonized layer which is known as "seasoning."

A: The design, the handle are made a little different. We come out with a Baker's line, so the skillet is in the bakers line made for oven or outdoor grill use.

I love the skillet, but be very careful picking it up when the handle protector is still on. Use both hands. I didn’t and it slipped to the floor. Luckily it missed my foot but caused a gouge in my wood floor.

I’ve never in my entire life has never returned a frying pan. I’ve owned cast iron pans before and this was the worst. No my pan did not rust, however it made my food taste extremely metallic. I did treat my pan and followed the instructions to a T.

I have bought Lodge brand cast iron skillets for years. I know how to take care of them, properly season them, etc. I needed a 10 inch cast-iron skillet, this is a 10.25, close enough. This is the first time a cast iron skillet rusted on me and after second use. I should've heeded the warnings of the negative reviews. This is the first time I bought this brand from Target. I will stick to higher end sellers to avoid this problem. I had to return it.

I love cast irons and have been using them for a long time. However, the silicone handle cover is terrible. It didn't protect my finger when my pan was hot - burned my finger right through the silicone. Thankfully, my burn wasn't severe, but I definitely switched the cover out for an extra leather one I had after that.
