Not how clotted cream fudge should taste.
Very unpleasant smell, and a far more unpleasant, sour rancid flavor. I asked my Scottish mother in law, who is no stranger to clotted cream, to confirm that the fudge was disgusting. She said it tasted spoiled and that it was awful.

Gritty and soured
The texture is somewhere between a sugar baby and a caramel. It’s definitely soft enough but has a weird grainy chewiness to it. You get almost a caramel flavor but then a hint of sour dairy/milk. Maybe there’s powdered milk in it? But unsure. Not a fan of these. The tree is nice but the candies will be tossed

Tree is super cute but...
So, I was disappointed to see these contain wheat ingredients so I wasn't able to enjoy. But my husband and daughter did and said it was gross. I thought they were being dramatic so I had my mom try a piece and she literally spit it out and said it tasted like it was spoiled! We're not one to waste food (and definitely not treats!) but these went straight in the trash!

At the store you can’t tell what kind of fudge it is. I thought the entire tree was full of fudge. The picture online here shows clearly what you get. There’s like 6 or 7 pieces and the fudge is disgusting. My kids all spit it out.

I love M&S
The tree is adorable. This is not your typical U.S. fudge, it's made in the UK...with "clotted cream" so keep an open mind. Its has more of a buttery cream taste. I like it! The past few years, the trees were tin. This year the tree is a clear hard type plastic with the color sprinkles. The stem opens the tree to expose the fudge. After removing the fudge, I placed a flameless tealight inside and it shines through tree. I love it!
