I have dark lips with dual tone edges and was looking for a matte lipstick which do not peep my skin color for a very long time. I have tried a huge range of lipsticks from different brands, including MAC. Velvet Teddy is the best nude lipstick I could ever get.It color corrects the dual tone of my lips, at the same time do not feel lighter than my skin tone. It just feels like wearing nothing on my lips with an even color tone.

I own at least a dozen shades of MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick. Incredible colors and staying power when use with a proper MAC Lip Liner Pencil and a quick spray of MAC Fix after application with a lip brush. A yummy, sexy look.

Why ruin a good thing??? I have been purchasing Smoked Purple for almost a decade. The new formula changed the color and destroyed what was unique about it. Now it is just another basic burgundy that one can find at lower price point elsewhere. The new formula is comfortable but it is not as long lasting. One buys matte for a reason. The benefit do not outweigh the loss in color range.

Decided to try out this mini, before purchasing the full-size, and I'm sold! I usually only wear glossy lip stuff because regular lipsticks dry my lips out. This is the only one I've found that doesn't, so I plan to buy full sizes in all colors!
